Naming is a marketing thing. Versioning is a technical thing. Don't confuse the two.

I need to build a C# solution but do not know which version of Visual Studio it was created by. I installed Visual Studio 2017 but got build errors like: CS1617 Invalid option 'preview' for /langversion. Use '/langversion:?' to list supported values. More on stackoverflow.com
Visual Studio 2019 or 2022 for learning?
VS2022. No reason to stay with VS2019. The difference will be minimal though, specifically for tutorials. More important, and it could be kinda bad, if your old tutorials use some other outdated technologies. More on reddit.com

The biggest benefit from Enterprise, is the debugger diagnostics tools imo. This has saved us countless hours in discovering memory leaks and finding SQL performance issues. Pro should be good enough if you never use it though. You still get licenses for all Windows versions on Pro if I recall correctly, which becomes super helpful when you test on VMs. Also means developers don't need to pay for seperate Windows licenses.
