Should I even bother purchasing a vizio tv at this point?
Just sit here and read all the posts on this forum. I have an 8 year old Vizio that is mostly OK except I can't get my Firestick 4K Max to work on the M50-C1 60Hz HDMI port. It gives me "no input". A lot of the posts I read here for the last 6 months say "old Vizio TV OK" "new Vizio TV crap". More on reddit.com

What is the deal with the new Vizio D-Series?

Can't speak on the quality of them but the non-4k D version is from 2015. The 4k D series is from 2016

I have a 43 inch D series, great picture, good tv but the Smartcast sucks on it. Have to reboot it every once in a while to get it to work. More on reddit.com

Any experience with Vizio 4k D-Series?

I've read online they have decent picture for what they are... but 4K Vizios in general are not great gaming TVs. They have quite a bit of motion blur on all of their models. I would steer clear of Vizio if your agenda is gaming, and instead go for a Samsung or Sony.

If you haven't already, visit this website which gives you good feedback on gaming and sports performance in their reviews.

EDIT: specified it's "4K" Vizios that haven't been the best at gaming (with their other "premium" models, since the D is their budget series, I wouldn't expect great things for a gaming experience. Long motion blur trails = shitty gaming experience)

If you're searching for a small TV, Vizio's D-Series is quite a find
July 2, 2021 - That's right on par for TVs in ... secondary TV. But if you don't mind a basic picture and want something sleek and filled with streaming content options, the 2021 Vizio D-Series is a solid choice....

Should I even bother purchasing a vizio tv at this point? : r/VIZIO_Official
April 13, 2023 - As an outsider looking in and potential purchaser, I truly appreciated everyone's replies, I found this thread via google looking to see if due to the VRR and lauded low ms "game mode" on the 32in 1080p D-Series would be good for a bedside chill gaming setup. I'm now going to look elsewhere. Honestly, I'm so frugal I may hit up the local pawn shop and see if they still have some 32in Samsung smart tv's for around ~$50-60 instead. For the ~$180 that the 32in 1080p Vizio D-Series retails for, for the same price, cheaper even, or at most a couple more bucks, there's 43in 4k smart tv's all over the internet for sale all the time, and, even Roku tv's have a game mode in the options menu I found out after reading and watching some videos on the matter.

Vizio D series 2017 (D65-E0 and D55-E0) review: This cheap TV still has a very good picture - CNET
Vizio D series 2017 (D65-E0 and D55-E0)
As some of the cheapest TVs with local dimming and a very good picture, two members of Vizio's D series are excellent values. I like a lot of Vizio's TVs for the level of image quality they achieve for a budget price, but their "series" can be a sprawling, incomprehensible mess. And the 2017 D series is the messiest one yet, making it tough for buyers to separate the potentially worthwhile TVs from the so-so ones. That's where I come in. Among the D series TVs I know about right now, I can only recommend two specific models: the 55-inch D55-E0 and the 65-inch D65-E0. This review only applies to

VIZIO D-Series (2016) TV Review
March 25, 2016 - As it stands, the D-Series is highly affordable and ubiquitous, with a whopping 25 different models of all sizes to choose from. They're all aggressively priced to move, but curiously they run the gamut from 720p sets (on the small end) to 4K when you get up to the bigger sizes.
