The drugstore machines have a biometric scan that will ensure that the picture doesn't get rejected. There's additional rules about lighting, eyes open, mouth closed, both ears shown, shoulders included in the frame, etc. Source: worked at a drugstore for years, back when we did them on polaroid. The biometric scanners were a godsend.

They said the distance was not acceptable.

Now that I have the 2x2 photo in my phone, where can I print copies of it?
The Walgreens and the CVS app continue to take my 2x2 photo and fit-to-size on a 4x6.
