Okay, so up until a few months ago our charger cables section was extremely jumbled and confusing for customers, with USB-C mixed in the same rows as the Lightning cables, because apparently according to whoever normally does the facing they're all basically the same thing — which meant that elderly people who can't read the packaging would just open up multiple boxes trying to see what inserts into their phone (or they would just absentmindedly grab one, buy it, then realize immediately afterwards that it wasn't what they needed and have to return/exchange it) So I have made it my personal mission to keep this section organized, because goddammit if I'm going to have to stare at it all day from the register and have to help people find the right charger cord, then it better be neat and easy to navigate — Lightning cables facing the register, USB-C and Micro-USB cables in the checkout line (and any other electronics behind the register) Of course since I only work 3 days a week it's immediately in disarray when I show up after my days off, but oh well lol More on reddit.com

It actually does say somewhere, maybe in the handbook, that cell phones are allowed on the sales floor, for several reasons, but most importantly in case of an emergency, like an active shooter, you call 911. Also, because of the W Connect app, because they want us to use it at work. The chief way our DM contacts the SM, and SFL'S is by text. And they are constantly asking us to use our personal phones to print things, like signage, from the photo lab. Everyone, including the SM, charge their phones here. There are chargers in the office and breakroom. Sounds like you just have a jerck for a manager. You might ask to see the 2023 Emergency Plan handbook because it does say in it than in an active threat situation to hide, and call 911.
