Hi folks, finally starting my endeavor to put a rack to this closet and trying to decide where the cables will pass through. A few options. a) ceiling, then wrap them all and flush with the side wall b) back of the wall near the ceiling, then flush with the back wall c) back of the wall near the floor
Also:
what plastic piece do you use to protect the cables from the drywall
what plastic piece do you use to protect the cables from the wood if I drill some 3/4" to pass cables from crawlspace under the house to avoid pests and mice.
Thanks!
I'm looking for a solution for a exterior wall pass through that allows for replacing the cable from the dish to the router. Starlink is sending me a replacement for my square dish that died after a couple of weeks use. I had a satellite tv installer put the dish up and he just drilled a hole though the cement block wall, passed the cable though it and then put silicone over it. Looks like hell, but that worked, but now I need to uninstall that cable and send the entire first unit back to SL.
I a not at all sure that SL will work for us, so for the next install I need a cable grommet, electric junction box, or some other pass through the exterior wall that allows for removing the cable without damaging it.

Looks like either of these would work. Anyone have experience with these or other ideas that allow for a reasonably weather and critter resistant exterior wall pass through? (The SL kit is not likely to be available by the time I need to uninstall the old dish and replace it with the new one.
I'm trying to set up an internet network for the second floor in my house without a fishing tool to get the cable all the way to the ground floor router. Is there a trick? or should I just buy the fishing tool?
Edit; I'm replacing a faulty cable with a new one.
Edit; It's a 15M pipe that runs through the walls all the down to the ground floor.
FIXED; The solution to the problem was getting a plastic sandwich bag and wrapping it like a bandminton shuttlecockand tying it around the cable, then using a vacuum cleaner on the other end of the tube hole to suck it right through and it works like a charm. Thanks for all the tips and suggestions!
