I bought a $70 Walmart amp today and it doesn't suck
I own an audio shop and have seen quite a few of these come through. Some test around 500 some test around 600. At 4 ohms they test in the 210-270 range. Seems to be a bit of fluctuation in output from model to model which is to be expected in any budget amp. What I also see a lot of is these things completely dead or constantly in protection mode. Not saying it isn't sometimes user fault since most Walmart amps are being installed by the customer. I usually hear similar stories: worked great for a couple of months then stopped working. Yes I have to admit 500-600 for a $70 amp is very hard to beat. My shop doesn't even sell any amps of any size this cheap. But I don't want to deal with the headache of having to warranty amps I know will have a very high failure rate either. Trying to explain that it isn't really 2500 watts to people is another issue altogether. More on reddit.com

Best 4 channel amp for my money/speakers
D4S JP8 4 channel. Edit: bro I’d get some higher quality speakers, if not then do not take my recommendation for the amp. It would destroy your speakers you have installed right now. Because it give a solid 124rms@4ohm for four channels. More on reddit.com

Suggestions for a 4 channel amp??

well youre not gonna like this but 147$ for a 4 channel 1600w amp is very cheap. its a walmart brand and i stay away from those. I have a 4ch Wolfram thats 500$ and its not even the best. if you want a cheap amp, try ebay or nextdoor app. I wouldnt spend money on MBquart. Some other people can suggest some comps but there are too many options out there that i have no clue about their bench testing or quality for me to make a suggestion, and im pretty sure you dont wanna spend 500$ on an amp. Good luck.

r/CarAV on Reddit: I bought a $70 Walmart amp today and it doesn't suck
February 14, 2019 -

I went by walmart today to take a chance on a Power Acoustik RZR-1 2500D amp and the first impressions are pretty darn good. I picked up a pair of Kicker Comp S 10's last weekend and bought a "1000w" Pioneer amp to push them... well that 1000 watts translates into 150w per channel of real world power and no ability to bridge down to 2ohms. I scouted around online and found the Power Acoustik at a different Walmart and checked some reviews - the thing actually dyno's at its advertised 650w rms @ 2ohms. I boxed up the Pioneer and exchanged it today, walking out of the store with the 2500D and after wiring it up and setting the gain via multimeter tried it out. This little thing hits hard as hell for $70 and runs cool. I've been out of car audio for a few years and I know this isnt a competition setup by any means but I'd say you'd be hard pressed to find a better amp at this price point.

so... *pulls out snobb glasses; i take issue with these amps on principle. imo the companies that build them are shysters and i wish the industry didnt have this type of advertising. however... thats bitching about that which is and i can not change. by labeling it a 2500D they are advertising themselves in the same ball park as other amps that can actually do 2500W with out lightning. its lying and its disingenuous. many cheap amps get away with pushing higher power by ramping up the rail voltages, its pretty easy to push more voltage as opposed to more current on the rails, the advantage is cost, the disadvantage is voltage is dangerous. its far easier to have a part shift too close too another part and have it arc out with higher voltage than with lower. now most higher priced amps will run low voltage/high amperage (comparatively speaking) the cheaper amps also sacrifice protection circuits, or at least are nto as robust. you may have a over volt on a fet that blows on the output section but have no fault tolerance there - so it back feeds through your resistor and into your driver board, blowing up your driver IC and causing your power supply to over current and then it blows up due to heat. you would not see that cascade of failure on a higher quality amp. you will also commonly see lower frequency carrier waves for the switching circuits (just cheaper), this can lead to more induced noise in your speakers from bleed over (EMI). not the end of the world on a sub i suppose but if paired with a high sensitivity midbass or even a sub with xover in the 100hz range you may hear it. now all bitching aside, its a 70.00 amp... at about 700W thats like 11 cents a watt... you cant fault a manufacture for offering product in this price bracket as many people shop here, a massive amount of people shop in this bracket. longevity may very well be a moot point with an amp that costs less than a good dinner while eating out so there is that. as you stated, you seem to know full well what the amp is. working in the industry i VERY VERY often get customers who bring amps like this in and are fucking pissed when we tell them (some times refuse to install them) they wont out preform the 1500w rockfords or 1200w kickers. there is a disconnect of understanding about what things are and time and time again i have personally been in a bad spot after putting in an amp that a customer expects to preform beyond its design. i say this so we all know where my bias comes from.
