The notice saying “please wait for the hiring team to reach out to you regarding your application” wasn’t there when I checked yesterday but showed up today. What’s that about? I doesn’t show me “under consideration” so I’m confused about the little notice.

Just give it time Walmart is always hiring new people to fill spots in. They might sit on the application for a while but they'll eventually get back to you. Just be patient, don't get discouraged.

Must be a new update. I think they’re tired of people calling to try to speak to a higher up about their application so they want to tell people to allow them to reach out first. My bad guys I called 32 times in the 2 months I waited to hear back first time I worked there. 😂

I previously posted about reapplying for a salaried position, its been forever since I applied for something with Walmart but does 'Application Under Review' mean anything or does it just mean the application went through? it said assessment pending for days (even though I had done all the assessments) then today changed to that. Back when I was salaried last time we didnt use Workday to apply so thats different.

Once the assessment goes through it sits in application under review until you either get a call for an interview or an email saying you are no longer in consideration. It can take days or weeks sometimes

Mine said that for about 2 weeks, I then got an email on my work account about a zoom call for the interview. So I’d be on the lookout for a random looking email about a zoom call.

February 8, 2024 - Another thing, I was told directly from a TL that if you don't select "open availability" when applying, they won't even look at your application. However, when you're brought in for your interview/orientation you can fill out your availability. It really depends on what your store needs, but for me since they needed weekend workers and closers and I could do both, I basically had the job right from the interview. Walmart is always desperate regardless though, they have a ridiculously high turnover rate lol

So I applied to walmart on the 22nd of January and haven't heard anything back yet. I know it hasn't been 2 weeks yet but was wondering if I should call and follow up or not even though this will be a part time job since I have a full time job all ready?

Personally I don’t see the need to call anyone yet, you’re not even under consideration. This isn’t the old days of applying somewhere where you apply and your specific application goes to someone directly for review and will be contacted for either outcome. The way it works is, you apply for whatever positions you want that are available. Then, your application sits there until a spot opens in any of those positions you applied for. That’s when they start looking at the applications and seeing who may be the best fit based off things like experience and availability. If you meet what they want, then you move to being considered and where the communication begins. If you aren’t selected, your application stays in the system until they open positions up again and like before, if you applied for one of those positions then your application falls in for review again. Rinse and repeat until either you’re hired or it expires (which is why it’s only active until a certain date, after that you can apply again if you’re still interested in working for the company).
