Now I don't know if my store manager is making up things or if he is just trying to make sure everyone is fired after the holidays. But this man has mark out every day from October 28th to Jan 1st as a black out date and honestly that just doesn't seem right. We are located in the south so winter months are literally the worst time to do this. no one here can drive in the snow. and everyone always gets sick ash when it gets cold. so is this a set up. it just doesn't seem fair to do this.

How accurate is the blackout day calendar? Tomorrow isn’t showing as a blackout day for my store, but I’m not sure if the calendar is correct.
So rumors have been going around my store that our store manager isn’t allowing anyone to take time off during the months of November and December. Apparently the entirety of both months is “blackout days”. I checked the key event dates and it doesn’t appear that the whole month is marked as key event dates. I also asked my team lead about it and she told me she wasn’t sure if it was something our store manager made up or not. I was just curious if this is a thing everywhere, or just at my store. I was also wondering if stores can makeup their own key event dates.
I start my first day tomorrow. I am looking in the ME app to see if I can find the holiday 2024 blackout dates. Would someone be able to point me it the right direction? Like is the whole weekend and week before Thanksgiving blacked out and the weekend after? The same with Christmas and New Years?
If you're referring to key event dates, there is a link on the gta portal on onewalmart.com that will list all the company wide key events as well as your store's specific key events when you put in your store number.
If you mean blackout days the days that they just don't approve time off, that is heavily store specific and there is no official list of dates.
If you had my TL, the whole year is a blackout date
