Why am I hearing about the bonus from everywhere but my store? There has been no meeting, but it is all over the internet.
Is anyone able to explain to me if I will be getting a bonus or not? When I login to try to check the status, it says FY25 not yet available and to check back later. Also, I am surprised it shows any bonus at all since I'm on unpaid medical leave and have been since July 2024. Does anyone have an explanation for me?
Just an FYI for those wondering. Base pay changes rolling out first, then bonus payouts, then annual pay increases.
As mentioned at this year’s Associate’s Week Meeting during Shareholders, regular associates can now receive a yearly bonus up to $1,000! The announcement was also made on Walmart’s corporate site: https://corporate.walmart.com/news/2024/06/05/the-investment-continues-walmart-launches-associate-bonuses-new-opportunities
As for the finer details, that’s now available on OneWalmart for associates to view here: https://one.walmart.com/content/usone/en_us/company/news/announcements/associate-bonus.html
Common questions that have already been asked (and will continue to be asked) are listed in the second link, such as:
What is the new associate Bonus?
Walmart is a place where you can come for a good job, stay for a great career, and then retire. We want to see you grow and prosper from benefits like Live Better U, our 401k, and Associate Stock Purchase plans. This annual hourly bonus is the next step. It’s based on store performance and scales with years of service so we celebrate and reward long-term associates. https://one.walmart.com/content/usone/en_us/company/news/announcements/associate-bonus/jcr:content/par/block_container_1002701916/block-container-par/image_tabs_2_0/parsys_tab_0/columns_new/column_1/image_2_0.img.png/1717533880197.png
Why invest in this new bonus?
We’re investing in you, because we want to see you grow and prosper here and because you are Walmart. When you give us feedback, it shapes the way we invest. You’ve told us how important it is to have a bonus separate from your regular pay. You’ve also told us it matters to have a bonus tied to your years of service and your store’s performance. That’s why we’re making this new investment in you. And it starts right now.
How does it work?
The associate bonus is designed to reward hourly associates for working as a team, taking care of customers, and helping their store succeed. The bonus is based on store performance and scales with years of service so the longer you’ve been with Walmart, the more you can make, up to $1,000. You can find details about your eligibility in the Associate Bonus Toolkit linked on this page.
Who’s eligible and when does it pay out?
This investment will be paid annually and will include eligible hourly store associates and store-based Health & Wellness associates. Whether you’re full-time or part-time, you’ll be able to earn this bonus if you've been with Walmart for at least one year, with the first payout in March of 2025. See the associate toolkit for more details on eligibility.
One of the bigger questions that will be asked is about the metrics behind how the bonus is determined:
This bonus will be based 75% on Sales and 25% on Profit Growth. This means eligible associates’ bonus payout will grow as their store’s profit grows.
Associate Bonus Eligibility
There are a few things you need to know about who is eligible for the new associate bonus program:
Associates must be employed through and have at least 12 consecutive months of employment on Jan. 31, 2025, to be eligible for the first payout in March 2025.
Associates must be in full-time/part-time status as of Jan. 31 of each year to qualify. For the March 2025 payout, this means associates need to meet the criteria below as of Jan. 31, 2025. (Associates with temporary status on Jan. 31, 2025, are not eligible. Temporary associates who have at least 12 months of service and convert to full-time/part-time status by Jan. 31, 2025, will be eligible for payout. The associate’s time as a temporary associate.)
Years of service will be determined by length of employment as of Jan. 31 based on the associate’s most recent hire date. (For the March 2025 payout, associates’ length of employment will be determined as of Jan. 31, 2025)
Associates who are coded as full-time status on Jan. 31 or part-time associates whose average hours align to the table below will be considered full-time. Remaining eligible associates will be considered part-time. https://one.walmart.com/content/usone/en_us/work1/people/toolkits/associate-bonus/manager/bonus-announcement/jcr:content/par/image_tabs_2_0_copy/parsys_tab_0/image_2_0_copy_copy__271914358.img.jpg/1717450523118.jpg
I know it's new and such but does anyone know when we could possibly be getting that bonus?
The last few days I have seen different dates for the bonus to be paid. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks
Ain't gonna lie. This supposed "bonus" is dogshit lmfao. Coaches and team leads get thousand of dollar bonuses and us regular associates can earn up to 1000 dollars after 20 years with the company lol. It's crazy. I'm only getting a 260 dollar bonus.
If you look on OneWalmart, there is recent posting here and there of a bonus payout. Who gets this? Why are those who are receiving it, receiving it? The last time I got any sort of notice or visible bonus on my check was 2 years ago when they were still doing quarterly bonuses. Normally I would just look on OneWalmart and find the information myself, but for some reason I get an "off the clock" notice when I try to look at the information, when I am in fact, on the clock. Any information is greatly appreciated.
I'm a full time regular associate, I've been here since mid 2023, but my bonus is only $149 even though the max is $350. Are my store's sales just that bad? Is it based on anything else? The faq document said attendance points don't change it so it shouldn't be that but I don't know.
I work full time overnight stocker making 18.50? How much bonuses can i actually get at the end of the year it’s my first week or 2 at Walmart?
Title says it all.
Second post I've ever done here. First one was a great help, so figured I would ask another question that none of my current managers can answer (Our store can't keep people leads. It's an absolute shit show. They get in and either quit or step down within 3 months).
As the title states, what is the benefit for hourly associates to try and maintain clean, fast, friendly or upkeep 100% attendance if there's no longer a bonus?
As far as I've been told, once you got your dollar an hour raise, you were not getting another bonus. No yearly bonus, no nothing.
If there is no incentive, my job is about to become a hell of a lot easier. Instead of going "above and beyond" to help irate customers, I'm just gonna send them to 1-800-Walmart.
I have noticed a trend of Team Leads and some with management experience (Someone was supposedly a district manager? I have no idea how true any of the user flairs are) posting that the benefit is the paycheck or keeping my job. I have been at this company for a long time. I am simply going to post what I said to someone else here:
I can keep my job simply doing the minimum. I've been at this company for 10+ years. To say that I've learned ways to give the absolute minimum while still appearing productive would be an understatement.
Walmart is losing more than they're saving by doing this. I can't tell new hires why it's important to actively look out for spills to help prevent customer accidents. I can't tell them that the better the store does on customer satisfaction, the bigger our bonus is. Management gets a nice bonus once a year, but for the rest of us hourly on the new teaming schedule system, not a damn thing.
Now? There is no reason for us to give a shit how many thousands of dollars in profit they pull from the store (My manager says corporate pulls around $20,000 per claim) because Karen rolled in a gallon of spilled mayonnaise, it doesn't affect us in the slightest. We don't get a bonus and our pay is always gonna be the same 2% they give every single year.
I'll keep my job while doing the absolute minimum. I will not go above and beyond anymore. I will not train new hires to go out of their way to look for spills. I'll train them to do the bare minimum and nothing more. Because there's no reason to anymore. There's no longer a reward for it. And no, getting a paycheck isn't a reward or an incentive, it's a federal requirement to get me to show up and do the minimum without the company getting bad publicity or in legal trouble with the labor board.
Been a first time team lead since October and was told I probably wouldn't receive my full bonus since I've only held the position a few months. Up until recently it always said "tbd" but now it has an actual cash amount. But this seems like a a pretty decent bonus. Better than i was expecting. Does anybody know the math on what it would have probably been had I'd been a team lead for all 4 quarters? Is it a flat rate?
