Hey everyone, I placed a Walmart order for curbside pickup without realizing it’s designed for people with cars. I don’t have a car but still want to pick up my order. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What’s the best way to handle this?
Should I just head to the pickup area and let them know I’m on foot? Will they still bring my order out, or should I go inside and explain the situation?
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hi Walmart associates, curbside pickup was not available when I worked at a Walmart many years ago. I personally love it and probably would have asked to move there if I still worked for Walmart. I did store standards so, shopping carts, carrying things out to customer cars, etc.
So, my question is surrounding the surveys for pickup. I would have to assume this is everywhere, but I don't know. In Winnipeg it's very common to issue a gift, or incentive to provide a positive survey for the associate picking up. Superstore does this as well. For those who are not aware, it's generally a small sandwich bag with various candies and treats. Most recently I got cheezies and a Pepsi. There will also be a slip of paper asking you to do the survey, and then the associate who loaded your car will have their name written in.
Two part question:
- What is the benefit to the individual associate for receiving a positive review? Is there anything monetary? Is it just collecting kudos for future reviews or possible promotions?
- Who's paying for the incentive treats? Is it the store or the associates themselves?
NOTE: Sometimes Superstore will have promo items from manufacturers they're including with orders which are not survey incentives, I realize that's different.
