Has anyone applied for the Walmart data science internship and received an interview or rejection? I applied on October 14th and haven’t heard back yet. I’m starting to get worried and wondering if it’s just me or if others are in the same boat.
I have Amazon and Walmart DS internship offers. Amazon is def the bigger brand, is giving slightly more pay (~$2k per month). Both are in the same location, so that is not a factor. However, after talking to people working at Amazon I have been hearing that getting a return offer from Amazon is going to be next to impossible this time as they had over hired in the past. I haven't been able to get information about Walmart's chances of return offer. Also, return offers depend heavily on the team, and I haven't been assigned to any team yet for both companies. I was thinking of going ahead with Amazon and taking the risk of not getting a return offer. Because Amazon's a big brand I was thinking that I might be able to get a full-time somewhere, given I put in the effort for it. Is my decision of going ahead with Amazon and my reasoning for it correct? Requesting your guidance... Only here to learn :)

Has anyone received offer from walmart for Data scientist internship summer 2022 or awaiting for results after final round interview?
Hey everyone,
I’m interviewing for a Data Scientist 3 position at Walmart and wanted to get some insights from anyone who’s gone through the process recently.
What can I expect in terms of:
-
Number of rounds
-
Technical depth (SQL, ML, Python, case studies?)
-
Business-focused questions or product thinking
-
Behavioral rounds (culture fit, leadership-style questions)
-
Anything specific to the DS3 level vs DS1/DS2?
Would also love to hear about any tips, topics to focus on, or experiences (positive or challenging). I’ve heard the interview might touch on both data science depth and how you apply it to business problems at scale.
Thanks in advance — really appreciate any info you can share!
Recruiter mailed me that he is in process of scheduling an interview after filling up a pre-interview validation form.
Anyone can share their interview experience for the data science intern at walmart??
Would really appreciate any sort of help
Hey Guys , I have my Walmart first round karat interview next week .
Any tips would be helpful:)
Thanks in advance
I have recently accepted an offer for Walmart DS intern for summer 23. Was wondering if anyone here has done the some, would love to connect with you and create a group on WhatsApp/Messenger, etc.!
Amazon
Location: Seattle, WA, Position: SDE Intern, Pay: ~$52/H
Walmart Global Tech
Location: Sunnyvale, CA, Position: Data Science Intern, Pay: $47/H
Which is the better opportunity and more beneficial for my resume? For context, I’ve actually never done a SWE internship and this would be my first one. I have a previous data science internship.
I enjoy DS but I’ve never tried SWE. Also afraid of the horror stories I’ve heard at Amazon.
Hey fellow DEs i recently gave interview for DE-3 position and received offer. I have total of 5 YOE including 3 years at Amazon
Have a read.
Feel Free to ask any follow of questions.
Thanks
I have an upcoming interview at Walmart for the role of senior data scientist.
The interview is a Karat assessment, but I am not sure what the live 60 minute coding session would be like.
Should I expect standard leetcode medium questions or would it be a data science based interview?
If you could share any information, that would be very helpful
Hi, has anyone who has given the final round of interview for Walmart Global Tech summer 2024's data science intern position heard back from the recruiter? I gave the interview last week and still haven't heard back so was wondering if anyone else is in the same position?
I passed the first round, i.e., the hackerrank online assessment and Walmart behavioural exam, last week. I have my interview based on my 24 hours take-home challenge on Tuesday. I would like to know what I could expect for this take-home challenge and how I could go about preparing for it. And what do I do for the final round after that if I get through this?
I applied for the software engineering role new grad and also recieved a take home assignment, and I think it took me around 3 hrs to do it. I wouldn't worry about about it too much since my code wasn't 100% working and I had to debug it during the interview, but I still managed to pass that round. As long as you write clean code and explain it well you'll pass
