Had the opportunity to buy one of these for a price I couldn’t pass up. I already have a full set of Lodge enameled, but thought “why not?”… it’s cheap enough I can use it for shit that I don’t like using my “good” enameled for (yes I know some of you think Lodge enameled is crap, but I don’t have a Le Creuset budget). Well… fully expecting this one to be delicate and cheap quality, I have to say I’m surprised. While unpacking it (it came in a wrapper and 2 boxes), I dropped this sucker on my granite countertop (about a 12” drop). I figured it was done for. No way this thing didn’t chip or crack the enamel.

To my absolute surprise, nothing happened. It held up and actually is quite nice. I like the shape very much and clearly it is more durable than I would have guessed. Happy with this $20 purchase.

I have been looking at these Dutch Ovens at Walmart

I don't know if they can go into the oven or not because it doesn't even say at the bottom.

I have no idea what temperature can they handle because again, they don't say. Also is the glass cover not safe for oven?

My starter is almost ready to start baking and I was looking into getting something that was oven safe to bake with. I was getting discouraged because Dutch ovens are SOO expensive, and the more affordable ones on Amazon all had not great reviews. Saw someone’s comment and I went to Walmart and got a $45 beautiful lodge Dutch oven. I’m so grateful for that comment and piece of advice and I want to share it again and LOUDER!!!!
