Someone I know just got hired full time at Walmart. They then advised him he has to upload this app to his phone. His older Android phone does not seem to be compatible with the app, even when he used the android link that was provided. He plans to buy a new phone with the first or second paycheck, but does not have the money to buy a new phone now.
Is Walmart allowed to require this? Is this used as part of work, or just for work notices, checking hours or requesting PTO? Is there a device he can use at Walmart temporarily until he can afford to get a new phone? Do they have to supply a phone to him if he doesn’t have a compatible device? Can he be denied the job if he can’t get a new phone first?
I was hired a couple days ago to a Walmart nearby. I completed all of the paperwork I was sent through email and now I'm trying to access the candidate portal through the app and I can't get any further than typing in my login info. I'll tap the sign in button and nothing happens. I've tried clearing cache, turning off power saving mode, and uninstalling then reinstalling the app. Is there another thing that I haven't tried yet that might get me through to the orientation info or should I just call the Walmart and explain that the app isn't working for me?
I've never had this issue with my work phone so I couldn't help them, but a few coworkers have had this happen. They use the work phone under the work tab and download the me@Walmart app, but instead of the work phone version it gives them the personal phone version.
They have the version that only has ask Sam with no item information or clocking in and clocking out options on it. The first person didn't even know it wasn't the same version the rest of us had and the second person switched positions and suddenly it switched versions on her. Does anyone know what causes this, how to fix this, or how to get it to change to the work phone version?
I tried having them uninstall the app, restart the phone, and then redownload it under the work tab. When they signed back in it was still the personal phone version. Any info would be appreciated.
Hi, i’m an employee at Walmart and i’m seeing all these articles about Walmart Canada has made apps for employees for Android and iOS but I have no idea how to find them and download them. Anyone know?
The apps include PlanIT, Availability (I guess like Inventory Management), and Huddle Notes.
Thanks in advance
Hi, I'm a new hire at Walmart, and I'm trying to get into the Me@Walmart app, but it's flat-out just not working.
I went through the "Candidate" sign-in and used my email and password from my application (like the instructions I got said), but the "Sign In" button isn't doing anything (and, after checking, doesn't seem to actually have any direction? like, no link attached?) If I close out of the window and hit the "Candidate" button again, it just opens a black screen (probably would be white in light mode, idk). My dad figured out that if I open the regular sign in, plug in my email and the store number, it fixes the page that opens in the "Candidate" button, but the "Sign In" button still doesn't do anything.
I figured I'd ask here before I go calling the helpline, since they'll probably stick me on hold for an hour.
Is anyone else having issues with the Walmart app and not being able to view any of the items??? Even after the update I still can't see the product, photos or reviews or anything on the app!
