Yeah, modding cheap boards is a nice challenge. I took a GK61x and completely transformed it: Custom paint job on the case Eva foam between plate and pcb PE foam mod Tape mod Brass plate Lubed blackpacas (alpaca stems in hyperglide housing) with 2stage springs It does NOT have the right to sound and feel that good lol The achilles heel in that board is the plate mount stabs. After seeing that post, I went to various other posts in the comments and saw people getting them at crazy prices in store only. Apparently they are on clearence at most Walmarts right now (though mine showed no indication of that until I actually scanned the item at the register). More on reddit.com
