I have an order over $35 in my cart.
I was told there was no delivery charge.
Then when I click through they say the delivery charge is $6.97.
Not understanding this.
More of a PSA than a rant, but Walmart charges between $7-12 for grocery delivery depending on how far in advance you order. However, from my experience, more often than not, the deliveries come with many missing items. Sometimes when an item is out of stock and there are no suitable substitutes, your order will be modified and the total price will be adjusted before the order is even dispatched. However, today, there were 16 items missing from my order, and they were items that Walmart said that they would be able to deliver (i.e. not out of stock as of when the items are sent out). I had to call them and go over all of the missing items, which negated most of the time that would have been saved by having groceries delivered. There's no option to redeliver any items that did not arrive--you either have to go to the store and buy them or create a new order, incurring another delivery fee. Agents that I spoke to wouldn't budge on the delivery fee being refunded or at least waived so that I can create a new order without paying the delivery fee twice.
Just beware. You might not be getting the convenience that you paid for.
