I just read from an hp area that Walmart and Costco can get a model of a laptop that it stripped down with less parts compared to the regular one you get from HP. Has anyone noticed this. I have a 14-dq0005cl with a messing m2 slot
Manual says it has someone said they can be different
Answer from info2290 on community.spiceworks.comHP laptops and Costco and Walmart
[Walmart]+ Members: HP Victus Gaming Laptop: 15.6" FHD 144Hz, Ryzen 5 8645HS, RTX 4050, 8GB DDR5 RAM, 512GB SSD. Now: $599 After $380 Off
HP Laptops - Walmart
Just because it comes from Wally world doesn't make them bad. Manufacturer's run deals for them and best buy, samsclub, Costco etc. Sometimes certain models / types are only available with them.
I would suggest when you get the one you want buy the extended warranty right thu the manufacturer.

Looks like that model commonly uses eMMC storage. Definitely something you would want to keep an eye out for when buying a laptop. Typically eMMC is used for reduce cost and slimmer profile laptops. Thus eliminating the the need for a slot accommodating NVME or SSD storage. I don’t think this would be a Costco or Walmart issue but more so on HP’s side.
Anyone know how these HP laptops on Walmart are?

This is also one I viewed on the HP website. Not sure what the difference between this and the first one on Walmart is.

Are there some laptops at Walmart that are cheap and works pretty well for the most part? It’s not like I’m trying to play those highly graphical games like cyberpunk or red dead, if I want it to be 4K then I can just play them on console. I Just want a casual gaming laptop
Just trying to save a few bucks and found a laptop on sale at Walmart. My friends are warning me not to buy it but giving me no reason. What do you think?
Ive heard walmart has a bad rep with laptop but they have an ROG strix on discount I want to buy. here is the link to the laptop.
Im looking for a laptop with an rtx graphics card and a 144hz monitor (or anything higher than 60hz) at around the same price range. Especially now that black friday and cyber monday are around the corner and laptops such as these are getting discounts. If anyone finds something similar at a 1,400~ price range I would appreciate it.
"HP has a super inexpensive laptop available at Walmart that is surprisingly useful and upgradeable for its $179 price tag. A great pairing for Linux."
