Well of course your literal first day would be training. I can't speak beyond that because every store is different. In our department, most people get trained on picking for one day and then are on their own. Some go on their own that first day, some get trained for longer than one day. For me, I was literally trained on two pick paths and was on my own. But I picked it up quickly. The hand held is very simple and basically acts as your road map. Everything SHOULD be in order where you pick one item, the next, the next, and so on. There are some hiccups sometimes with it. Dispensing is basically the same. Simple process. Scan all the stickers, though now it makes you scan them a second or even third time. Follow the prompts and dispense the order. Not going to call that guy a liar because there are definitely reasons to be bitter at Walmart. But our store and Walmart as a company as a whole doesn't expect you to pick 150 items an hour. It's 100 items an hour and once you familiarize yourself, it's not a hard number to hit. Schedule depends on what you're looking for. I work full time 40 hours because I need to and it works fine for me. Every store is going to be different based on team leads, coach, and coworkers. But at our store I don't think I have seen anyone quit in over 4 years just because they simply didn't like the job. Not that I know of anyway. More on reddit.com

So I pay for the Walmart plus membership for deliveries just because it’s easier for me & I don’t mind paying someone $15ish dollars to shop & drop off my groceries. My only issue is these spark drivers. It literally says “nonamegiven” with no picture. They drop off everything off smack dead in front of my door to where I have to push everything out of the way with the door instead of the table I sat out for deliveries & to be straight out they are careless AF. Anyone have the same experience?

The ones with “no name given” should always be reported to Spark & Walmart because they are working under false identity. Also, 1 star and You can also pull your tip if not satisfied within 3 hours of ordering.

So just recently I was gifted a Walmart Plus subscription to help me with groceries since I have so little time these days. However I have been hesitant to use it yet because I am unsure of how the order procurement and tipping should work with it. I see some places say to tip 20% of the bill but on a $200 grocery bill that is an extra $40 which is quite expensive for me. My main question is who is the tip going to? Is it just the driver? Is the delivery handled by a third party company like doordash or are there Walmart employees that transport the groceries? Should I base the tip off of the grocery bill or not because I am not sure if I am tipping based on the delivery or the entire picking of the order. I don't want to be a cheapskate but also can't afford to tip too far above my means these days. I should note I live in a cheap part of the country without much traffic, not a major city.

!customer Yeah, I mean, people say "free delivery" is free. Newsflash: there is no free lunch! It depends really on your area. It's either in home delivery or third party delivery from several apps. You should have the option of putting in your tip when you place your order. Or you can give an additional cash tip that isn't on the records. Either way there are real costs and real people. The people who sign up for delivery expect "Free delivery" with walmart+ which is part of the selling point. There is no free delivery. That said you shouldn't subsidize bad service or incentivize inefficiency.
