My mom used to work at Walmart. My dad is now at Walmart. My mom told me about some of the sketchy stuff Walmart has done and I looked up through the Internet Walmart retention rate is like 44% so Walmart employees help me out why is it not a good place to work? Thanks.
Customer heard we are closing in November bc of the food stamp cut off… and going online only..
I’m like nah. And I’ve not seen that on Reddit. I see all walmart news there..
What on earth lol. Like we aren’t closing bc of that. If anything it’ll be terrible in here… like how did this even get started?
Hii! I’m a college student (morning classes M-Th) and wanted to come here and gauge how people like working at Walmart. My local store is always well stocked, neat, and everyone is really friendly so I’ve been considering applying. Even though I’m extroverted, part of the appeal to me is being able to work alone / independently doing things like stocking, organizing online orders etc. Do you have an equal split of independent work / cashier work or does it depend? If youre also in college how did you find the shift hours to be? Are managers understanding abt part time? Thanks!
Hello, I have been on the platform for about two weeks now and I still haven't seen any sales. Is this common? is walmart.com just a trash marketplace?
I have bought things from Walmart online on occasion, and was thinking about signing up for Walmart+ to get free shipping. My question to those of you who use Walmart+, are most items, like clothing, shipped free?
I know that you can get groceries delivered with it, but I am not really interested in that as I like to do my own grocery shopping most of the time.
So, would it be worth it to get Walmart+ if I am mainly using it like an Amazon type delivery service, for clothing and other items?
**UPDATED POST** Thank you all for your opinions. I will probably just wait until a promo price comes around, or if anything I will wait until I buy over $35 worth of items. You all have been been very helpful. I appreciate it!
When I place an order with walmart, lots of times the items are not available to be shipped to my home. Sometimes the same items are shipped to my home. It’s not third party items, just regular stuff.( bounty, tp, etc). I live 10 miles from the store, if that matters. If I get walmart plus, will they start shipping them to my house, or will I have the same problem? If I get walmart plus, will they deliver cold/frozen items? Thanks.
I've often seen comments on the Internet, mainly in response when someone says they got something at Walmart. Like I just read "it's not worth the assault on my senses to shop at Walmart to save $8."
Dude, shut up. It's a fucking store like any other. People get high and mighty about not having to shop with smelly poor people while they themselves live paycheck to paycheck and also eat at McDonald's. If your Walmart is literally dangerous then I'd be asking you why you are still living in shitty city if you're so above living with the poors.
The prices are often the best, the selection is vast, and there's always one nearby. Swallow your contrived elitist pride and just shop at the fucking store like the rest of us.
Do not subscribe to this nonsense, even if they give you a discount. The only point of the program is to get you to buy more stuff in order to feel like you’re getting your money’s worth on the membership. They will rip you off with high prices on poor quality merchandise, make it difficult to cancel, and give you rude treatment. Terrible subscription, even Amazon prime is better because they actually give you what you signed up for, although I have cancelled that too.
I just had surgery and needed some gear to handle my post-op care quickly to prevent another issue. Amazon post-thanksgiving has been quoting me at 2-3 days+. I looked for what I wanted on Walmart+ and had everything delivered in 90 minutes without shipping costs. 12/10 I'm gonna use Walmart more if I can
