r/toronto on Reddit: Welcome to Walmart, where shopping carts welcome you
July 23, 2022 - I have lived in a couple different places and from my experience Toronto has some of the laziest people of any city I have ever lived in. ... Unless you have a mobility issue or some other crisis, leaving a cart like that is just shameful and pathetic. ... I see they hired Bubbles as one of the cart guys. ... There’s a Walmart and Superstore plaza near me in Mississauga, and when you walk down the street to the bus stops, there are always carts surrounding the bus stop just like this.

Grocery prices in Canada: Price of baby formula at Shoppers vs. Walmart shocks Reddit
October 3, 2023 - The post on the Toronto subreddit shows photos of the same Similac baby formula at both stores. However, the one at Walmart is priced at $32.98, while the one at Shoppers is being sold for $42.29. “It's hard enough to raise a baby in this city but this to me is just like a next level f**k you,” the original poster wrote. “How is this kind of mark up even allowed?” · The price of baby formula at Walmart vs. Shoppers has shocked some Redditors.

r/WalmartCanada on Reddit: Walmart is greedy and it’s becoming a shit show
June 14, 2023 -

I’m not sure if Walmart Canada will crash or not, but the way management manage this business doesn’t make any sense. They want to do more with less.

They opened a new store in Montreal with what… 300 employees from what I read. At my Walmart we are 50 employees all burned out. They want us to do 10 pallets/pers everyday. We do around 6 in my dept, so we are overstock and we are only 2 working for the whole weeks. Working in Fresh produce, I think we are about 5-6 employees for all Fresh dept. And my store doesn’t hire anyone because upper management doesn’t want.

It just doesn’t make sens at all.

Walmart was a great place in the past, but now they are completely delusional. I do not recommend this place to work anymore. Love my coworkers, but the job itself… I’m just tired of nothing working.

r/askTO on Reddit: Canadian Alternatives to Walmart?

Hi there,

I’m new to Canada but trying to support the Buy Canadian movement. I was wondering if there were any Canadian alternatives to Walmart that sell a similar wide variety of general goods?

Thanks

So I work at Walmart, obviously since I'm posting this on here, I'm typing this on my 15 min break, so there was a girl I used to work with and she got fired the week I got promoted to start working customer service desk. And she's been trying to get me fired ever since, accusing me of harassing ...

r/askTO on Reddit: Walmart Delivery in Toronto- No slots available for a week?
August 24, 2025 -

I live near Rosedale station, just tried to order Walmart grocery delivery which I have done without issue for the past year, and there are no slots anytime in the next week.

I’ve never seen this before, does anyone know if their delivery service is offline in Toronto right now and if so, when I’ll be able to order delivery again? I’m trying to get through to Walmart customer service but they keep hanging up on me…

Edit: apparently this problem can be resolved by removing certain items from your cart, for me it was Tostitos chips causing the issue and it’s working again now?? Bizarre situation but it’s finally fixed for me thanks to a commenter who figured this out!
