Walmart to buy TV maker Vizio for $2.3 billion in move to grow its ad business

in buying the company, Walmart touted the potential to boost its ad business through Vizio’s SmartCast Operating System, which allows users to stream free ad-supported content on their TVs. Only a month away from black friday and trying to decide if I should wait until black friday to buy a new TV from walmart or just get one now. Last year I feel like the "deals" weren't even that good and stuff sold out instantly.

Does walmart usually have decent TV sales on black friday or is it mostly cheap brands nobody wants? I'm looking for something in the 65-75 inch range, don't need top of the line but want something decent.

Also when do they usually drop the ad? Trying to plan ahead so I'm not scrambling last minute. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's actually scored a good TV deal there on black friday in recent years.

UPDATE: turning this thread into a monster list of all the Walmart Black Friday TV deals I come across, constantly updating with new deals when they go live. Enjoy...
