How do I connect a PS5 controller to my console wirelessly?
Connecting a PS5 controller wirelessly is straightforward. First, make sure your console is powered on. Then, press and hold the PS button and the Create button (the small button next to the directional pad) on the controller simultaneously until the light bar starts flashing. This puts the controller in pairing mode. On your PS5 console, go to Settings > Accessories > Bluetooth Accessories, and select your controller from the list to pair it. Once connected, the light bar will stay lit, indicating a successful connection.
What should I do if my PS5 controller isn't charging properly?
If your PS5 controller isn't charging as expected, try these troubleshooting steps:
- Check the charging cable and port: Inspect for any visible damage or debris that might block the connection.
- Use a different charging source: Try plugging the cable into another USB port or a different charger to rule out power issues.
- Reset the controller: Use a small pin to press the reset button on the back of the controller for a few seconds.
- Charge with a station: If available, try using a dedicated charging station to see if it improves charging.
If problems persist, consider contacting Walmart customer support for further assistance or exploring warranty options.
Are PS5 controllers compatible with Windows PCs?
Yes, many PS5 controllers can connect to Windows PCs, offering a versatile gaming experience. You can connect the controller via USB cable or Bluetooth. For Bluetooth, put the controller in pairing mode by holding the PS button and Create button until the light flashes, then pair it through your PC's Bluetooth settings. Keep in mind that some games may require additional software or configuration to recognize the controller properly. Using a wired connection often provides a more stable and responsive experience, especially for competitive gaming.
Last Christmas I bought my fiance a wireless playstation headset. On Christmas day he opened it and quickly realized this was a return. The person that had bought the headset took the receiver out (playstation exclusive) and returned it with their broken one. Luckily I kept the receipt and was able to exchange it. Still a bummer on Christmas though.
This year I bought him a 5tb hard drive for his PS5. Again, on Christmas day he opened it only to realize this was also a return. Someone bought it and switched it with a 1TB and switched the sticker on the hard drive to make it look like a 5tb. Luckily I had the receipt and was able to exchange. The weight difference is definitely noticeable.
This happened at the same store both times.
So i guess walmart is selling returned items as new and customer service doesn't notice these subtle changes to reject the return.
Just a heads up to ask the associate to grab your item from the back rather than the first one in the case! And keep your receipts! I wasn't sure what flair to use so I just used "news."
