I am looking for a zip hoodie that I can wear during freezing temperatures. And i mean warm. Like i have a better chance of getting a heat stroke than freezing to death with this hoodie warm. Price is not an issue, neither is weight.
I'm looking for a hoodie that I can potentially wear in downwards of 10-20F weather Not for long periods of time just something I an throw out on to not freeze my balls off for either a nightly piss or whatever. Price isn't a big deal but also don't want to spend half a weeks pay on it. ~$140 max I'd say. Material I'm not quite certain on yet.
EDIT: Thanks for all the suggestions, going to look into a lot of them and it's given me a better idea on what to look for

Men of Australia what is your comfiest warmest hoodie or fleece?
My Dad is going through chemo and is absolutely freezing. I want to get him some items so he feels cared for, stylish & warm.
He is about 6'1 with a large frame & usually wears an xl, but lost weight. I was thinking maybe Uniqlo, Amazon or Anaconda. Open to other suggestions or specific ones that were bomb.
TIA 🙏🏻

Just like what the title says 😄
I want something I can wear everywhere forever. A BuyItForLife if you will
Hi all.
I’m looking for a zip hoodie which is both warm and very portable. I got the Uniqlo lightweight down jacket that is great as an outer layer, so I’m looking for something kind of like that, but a mid-layer for travelling. I don’t mind spending $100/€100 for the right product. I’ll use it when travelling as a jacket for milder destinations.
My hoodies are now worn and have holes in them (I got most of my hoodies free from tech events) but I want to invest in a nicer longer lasting hoodie that's warm and good quality.
What are your favorite places to buy nice hoodies? The only one I really like at the moment is Uggs which is $$ but if it comes to it, I will just have to get that one.
Hey everyone! I'm looking for the unicorn of travel hoodies. One that actually packs down small, has zipper pockets and is just generally comfortable and still warm
So far most of what I have tried that is marketed as "travel" are too thin and not even warm, basically like a shirt-hoodie or they don't have zipper pockets which I really like to use when on a plane.
I live in michigan where its really cold right now i like a looser hoodie so I wear 4x even 5x in some brands but can get away with a 3xlt. Just looking for a good hoodie or brand to get one from that's warm and loose. I usually get carahartt but their selection this year right now is lack luster
I’m looking for the absolute warmest alpaca or cashmere hoodies. In my experience wool can’t compare to high pile synthetic fleece, but want to give it one more try. What’s the warmest possible cashmere or alpaca hoodie?
So i'm always stupidly cold and want to keep warm this winter, i've already bought a very warm jacket so only need a hoodie now. I've looked at reverse weave hoodies but those look like they're super baggy and give a muffin look which i don't want at all. i'm looking for something like the blanks supreme uses
Where can I get thick hoodies for winter (snow season)? Shops don't specify if it's a "thin" or a "thick" hoodie, stylish preferred but plain is alright too. Kind of like the North Face fabrics
I live in zip up hoodies from October to May but they don't last more than a year or two before they feel thin and not warm. Please no Sherpa lined suggestions because the lining feels scratchy to me after a short time to me.
This is a hard for me, I’ve looked deep into types of materials, cuts & seams from different brands and weight to comfort trade offs.
I know that merino wool with low micron counts are pretty comfortable but after sub 18 microns, it’s not that noticeable. Outlier and Arcteryx Veilence makes some low micron merino garments but their hoodies don’t stand out in terms of comfort compared to a casual Champions hoodie personally (using this as a reference point since they have invented and popularized this garment). There’s also a $6000 Loro Piana double cashmere hoodie I tried on for a few minutes at a store but again nothing stands out except for the astonishing price (their FW2022 Ready to Wear collection does seem promising with the trimmer cuts but I think price becomes a big barrier with this brand). I have borrowed Yeezy season and GAP x Yeezy hoodies before and those were comfortable but again, personally think they just marginally beat a traditional cotton Champions hoodie. I purchased Reigning Champs and Wings+Horns hoodies as mentioned in this sub which are great quality but not as comfortable as I thought it’d be. Some other hoodies I’ve previously owned are from the following brands: Lululemon, Pangaia, Fear of God, Rick Owens, Patagonia, Norse Projects, Stone Island, Allbirds, Nike, and Uniqlo.
I’d say mainline Fear of God (I haven’t tried FOG Essentials) of 100% cotton and heavyweight Uprisal hoodies from Patagonia of 1/2 recycled polyester and 1/2 recycled cotton with a brushed interior have been the best solely in terms of comfort. Perhaps skin type, amount of body hair, clothing worn underneath, and shape of one’s body plays a role to determine the most comfortable hoodie and it just comes down to personal preference after a certain objective level of comfort.
What are your thoughts on this topic?
Edit: I should mention I’ve stumbled upon the Origin hoodie, their bold claim of being the most comfortable and innovative hoodie. I doubt it lives up to it but I think it’s worth looking into, if anyone has this please do let me know what you think. (15oz heavyweight, 20 panels with gusseted articulation, flatrock stitched seams, preshrink and brushed throughout).
