My husband and I are looking to buy a washer and dryer set in the next few months. We don’t need anything fancy. We’re looking for sets that perform well, are long lasting, and ultimately get the job of washing and drying clothes done, haha. We like the aspect of a removable agitator for when we need to wash sheets, blankets, etc. We’re looking for a set that’s $1,600 or less. We’d also like to know the best place to purchase a washer and dryer set. We’ve looked at Home Depot, Best Buy, and Costco. Thank you for any and all advice!

Whirlpool top loader can be had around $800. Avoid any phone-maker brands. Stick to knobs and switches. Find a scratch-and-dent place. Consider used/refurbished. People often move out and sell almost new sets for cheap.
