Is water-resistant flooring truly okay for bathroom floors?
Laminate flooring for bathroom, is there such a thing as waterproof?
Waterproof laminate doesn't exist. You can put a vapor barrier underneath and try and seal the top, but you won't be able to guarantee that it won't warp if you get a small leak.
Look at Vinyl tile or sheet vinyl. It would be a perfect short-term solution. Should be easy enough to peel up in the future, and will cost hardly anything. It is 100% waterproof, so no worries about spills, and will even give a bit of cushion and insulation to the floor.

Edit: forgot to say I that it’s water resistant laminate floor boards that click in place.
Seems sketch to me, but I found a really good deal.
If it’s okay I’ll use it. If I’ll have to redo it in a year then I’d rather pay more now but save in the long run.
Would love to scoop up the deal if acceptable though.
