So I just finished creating a site for my client. I use a freelancer plan which is roughly $28/month (I think they just increased it from $24/month). If you pay yearly it’s cheaper.
Now am surprised when I transfer the site to the client…and the client get a basic plan for $18/month…there is no option for me to be added as a designer or collaborator. For that to happen they have to get an even bigger plan. Mind you this is a simple 5 pages website with no CMS.
I don’t think Webflow is heading to the right direction…it’s becoming super expensive for no reason.
Hi all,
I'm part of a small digital marketing agency (3 of us, and I'm the website guy). I've been building WordPress sites for the last 2 years, but I've been looking at WebFlow more and more. Only thing that's kept me away is the pricing.
For the freelancers/agencies out there - how do you charge for sites for clients? We have South African clients, so pricing is higher compared to basic hosting.
Here's what I'm thinking:
Get the monthly freelancer package at $24pm (would only get the yearly package once we get more WebFlow clients
Charge clients a monthly web development fee instead of a once-off amount (e.g. we charge about $500 per site on average, so maybe like $45pm over 12 months)
My only issue is how to keep people paying? If we ask them to continue paying - then they never really own the site. So if they stop paying, they don't get the site. How do we get around this?

I'm trying to figure out what pricing plan to choose from as I'm currently going through the "21-day design portfolio course" and at certain moment I faced the limitations of the free plan, namely a limited amount of utility pages and no access to a custom code option.
Due to this issue I'm unable to proceed further without choosing a plan and paying for it.
What pricing plan would you suggest for a newbie kick start and what plan would be the best later on to avoid any webflow limitations and accept clients without fear of switching towards more expensive options? I mean the cheapest most optimal option for both cases.
P.S. It's a bit unpleasant to realize half way through the course that in order to receive a whole understanding of the tool you need to pay almost from the start.
Hi, looking to get in touch with a few freelancers to get quotes for a simple website (but requires very light animation, nothing too complicated).
This is for a tiny bootstrapped startup so naturally we can’t afford to pay a ton of money :)
Is this the best place to ask? Or do I go to upwork or the webflow website (matching feature)?
Hey everyone,
quick question for the community
How do you feel about Webflow’s site pricing? I’m talking specifically about the two most common ones: Basic $18/m and CMS $29/m
Do those numbers feel reasonable to you for what you get? Or a bit on the high side?
If you had the power to set the pricing, what would you make these plans cost?
Curious to see how everyone else thinks about this, since these are probably the plans most of us end up using.
Today we announced important updates to our product strategy and pricing that will affect how you build and scale with Webflow. Updates include:
-
We are separating users from Workspace plans and thus removing any user limits. We are also adding new, tiered “seat” pricing depending on role for increased flexibility and scale
-
We are reassigning certain features across our Site & Workspace plans.
-
We are transitioning from the Editor to edit mode by the end of 2025 and introducing a new client seat for Agency and Freelancer plans.
-
Logic and User Accounts will no longer be available on June 27, 2025 and January 29, 2026, respectively, in favor of a flexible, ecosystem-first approach. To make this transition easy we've partnered with Zapier, Make, Outseta & Memberstack with custom offers for all users.
We know these changes will impact your business and workflows, so we've put together a comprehensive blog post covering everything you need to know, including timelines and migration support. Check out our official announcement here.
Our team is ready with dedicated resources to help you navigate these changes, plan your transition, and find the most cost-effective setup for your business.
I'm thinking of hiring a freelancer to build the website in Webflow. The site has about 13-15 pages, quite simple as far as I can judge, and mostly the same structure. The design is ready.
No one in my team has experience with web dev nor webflow. We choose Webflow thinking of easiness to build the site, but it seems not so easy at all. Thus, we need somebody to design it as well as prepare drafts / containers / anything else for us to be able change anything by ourselves and add new pages using the prepared content.
How much could it cost? Is there anyone ready to work with us?
I think you'll get a wide range of prices from folks on here. As some others have mentioned, it depends on the complexity and could fall anywhere from 2k-8k
IMO, it's not so much about finding someone who can build your site for a reasonable price, but rather how they build your site in a way that sets you up for success.
Some good questions to ask:
-
Can they show you some examples of past projects they've built in Webflow? Do some checking if their work looks good on smaller devices (Webflow cascades styles down from desktop, so mobile design can sometimes get overlooked)
-
Are they using a class framework (e.g., Client-first, Mast, Lumos, or custom)? And are they comfortable building the site with a level of modularity that enables easy reuse of sections, components, and styles? This approach simplifies future design updates and makes it easier for your team to manage and expand the site after the handover.
-
What's their approach to SEO in Webflow?
-
What do they do to ensure performance and loading speed are optimized?
-
Do they have a process QA and testing before launching a site?
-
How do they handle client feedback and revisions?
-
Do they have a process for educating you on how to use and manage the site they built?
A good Webflow Dev won't just dive in and start building without assessing the designs. They'll look for potential issues and clarify things to make sure everything matches the intended design and will work properly.
Hope this helps.
It can vary depending on a whole bunch of factors - experience, location of the freelancer, complexity of the designs (if the designs/copy are ready), whether or not you need somebody to help with design as well as development as they are two separate things... and more!
Personally I'd be looking to charge $3,000 - $5,000 for development only for a site of this size, pending a review of the proposed designs. Where it lands on that scale is dependent on the level of custom built animations for each page/section. Context: 6 years working in web design, 2.5 years exclusively working in Webflow, based in the UK.
Happy to advise you on what else you should be looking for when hiring a freelancer if you want to shoot me a DM!
Can anyone explain what pricing plan I would need for this type of freelance agency?
I would like to build sites for clients, they pay me a monthly for edits etc. I retain control of the sites.
Would I have one plan that allows me multiple sites and I manage them? Or is it 1 plan per site? The pricing is very confusing...
Title Edit: “Wish Webflow had a middle-tier CMS plan for smaller projects”
I genuinely love Webflow — the editor feels like magic, animations are buttery smooth, and it’s honestly one of the most satisfying no-code tools I’ve ever used.
That said, I really wish Webflow had a plan that fits smaller projects better.
Here’s what I mean:
Basic plan ($14/mo) → 150 static pages, no CMS
CMS plan ($23/mo) → 150 pages, 20 CMS collections, 2,000 items
That jump from no CMS to full CMS feels massive for someone who just wants to build a portfolio, a blog, or a couple of small client sites.
I don’t need 150 pages or 20 CMS collections — something like 50 pages, 5–10 collections, and 500–1,000 items would fit perfectly.
It’s not about regional pricing or discounts — it’s just that Webflow’s current tiers skip over a huge group of creators, students, and freelancers who love the tool but can’t justify paying for features they’ll never use.
Would love to see a “lite CMS” plan someday. Feels like it could open the door for a lot more independent builders to stay within the Webflow ecosystem.
As a webflow freelancer or as an agency how much would you charge for an entire website?
i know it would vary depending on what the client wants but on average what are your pricing models?
sorry if this is invasive, feel free to ignore but for those that are comfortable, please share!
I am wondering which plan to go with if I plan to start my own solo freelance business.
Core is 16/month and freelance is 19/month. What is the exact difference? Will I be able to have custom code and export code for both core and freelance plans?
💰 "How much does it really cost to hire a Webflow expert in 2025?"
(And why some charge $500 while others charge $5,000?)

I've been charging around $3500 for my Webflow builds but I think I'm undercharging. I overheard a few people that my rates are very affordable for the quality of work, so I'd love a second opinion. How much would you pay for the sites that I built in my portfolio (takbuilds.com)?
Thanks so much, any advice is much appreciated!
P.s. I'm California, USA, so market prices may be very different compared to someone in a lower cost of living area.
I’m an AD motion graphics guy, not a web designer. But the general rule in my industry is that you want to keep raising your rates till some clients start saying no.
The price for a website project is not 1:1 related to the quality, sadly.. You can charge as much as you want for any project and people will either accept it or not, depending on numerous factors.
What I want to say is that the sales aspect matters more than the quality itself.
I've seen horrendous projects being sold for 10k and awesome projects going for 2k.
As the title says, I'm curious to know if the market for Webflow freelancers is pretty strong or if there's a lot of competition/oversaturation of Webflow developers. I'm in a position where my 9 to 5 job might be eliminated soon and I have some experience with WordPress and the basics of web design, but the Webflow freelancer's course is looking really interesting to me lately.
I've also been browsing fiverr and upwork and it seems like there are a decent amount of jobs, but it's hard to tell if they pay well or are in-demand.
Just looking for feedback from freelancers who do this as a side-hussle or even as your main income. Thanks in advance for any insight.
I’ve been learning web design and think I’ve decided in webflow. I like that I can design in figma, and then create a site after in webflow.
How much are you charging for sites? Just trying to get an idea of what’s achievable with it.
I had debated over Wordpress - using oxygen, elementor or divi. But seems webflow may be best?
Apologies for what must be the 100th post on the new plans and pricing. I've googled this but still quite confused.
I work at a medium company with our site built on Webflow in the CEO's account. The current setup is.
Workspace: Starter plan (Free)
Site: Business plan. ($39/month)
Me: Freelancer account plan ($16/month)
2x Content editors: Editor roles on the site (Free)
Total we are spending: $55/month
I am the "web guy" and have a Webflow freelancer account and am in the workspace as a guest. This gives me all the access I need to the site and is cheaper than getting a workspace plan.
Two content editors in our team have access to the legacy editor, as our site is on the business plan this is currently free.
With the new plans and pricing am I correct in saying that we would need:
Workspace: Starter plan (Free) (I'm guessing we can add full seats to the Starter workspace?)
Site: Business site plan ($39/month)
Me: Full seat in the site? ($39/month)
2x Content Editors: Limited seats (2x $15/month)
Does the workspace matter? We don't need any workspace features as we only have one hosted site, but we probably will need more seats?
I'm guessing I will need a full seat in the workspace, or should I keep using the freelancer account as this is cheaper and works perfectly. Our team is unlikely to be growing significantly on the marketing side anytime soon.
The content editors will now need limited seats, as Webflow plans to sunset the legacy editor? There's no client editor role as far as I can tell? (2x $15/month)
So our new monthly cost would be: $98/month
It's not a ridiculous fee, as we can afford this but I'm just think it's a bit of a stitch up to have to pay for a basic editor role at $15/month now, when the legacy editor was free and happily did all that we need our content editors to do. Just edit CMS items.
Hoping anyone can shed some light on if I'm missing anything, I feel like CMS editing roles should be free?
In the pricing FAQ's it says:
Can my clients or coworkers upload their own content?
On the CMS and Business Site plans, clients and collaborators can use the Editor to edit and publish new content anytime.
But based on what we know, the Editor is being dropped come the end of this year? So not sure if this means they need to be added as a limited seat?
Hopefully this made as much sense as Webflows new pricing haha
Greetings 👋, I'd be most grateful if anyone can share details on how they pitch and price a Webflow project to prospective clients? As I understand it, you have to convince them to pay $23/month billed annually to have a CMS plan, for example, as well as add your personal fee on top of that? What is your pitch to convince clients that paying $23/month is worth it for them versus other more affordable options on the market? And do you feel having to bill this impacts how much you charge them for your service?
