Will Webflow’s 2025 Pricing Changes Push Freelancers Out? - Community resources - Forum | Webflow
New Webflow Freelancer and Agency Workspaces
Pricing for freelance/agency
You don't need a freelance plan if you will host the websites yourself. Webflow allows unlimited amount of hosted websites in your workspace.
Unhosted websites are another thing.
Agency plan allows you to have unlimited amount of unhosted websites in your workspace, while Freelancer plan allows 10.
Pricing of Webflow freelancers
I think you'll get a wide range of prices from folks on here. As some others have mentioned, it depends on the complexity and could fall anywhere from 2k-8k
IMO, it's not so much about finding someone who can build your site for a reasonable price, but rather how they build your site in a way that sets you up for success.
Some good questions to ask:
-
Can they show you some examples of past projects they've built in Webflow? Do some checking if their work looks good on smaller devices (Webflow cascades styles down from desktop, so mobile design can sometimes get overlooked)
-
Are they using a class framework (e.g., Client-first, Mast, Lumos, or custom)? And are they comfortable building the site with a level of modularity that enables easy reuse of sections, components, and styles? This approach simplifies future design updates and makes it easier for your team to manage and expand the site after the handover.
-
What's their approach to SEO in Webflow?
-
What do they do to ensure performance and loading speed are optimized?
-
Do they have a process QA and testing before launching a site?
-
How do they handle client feedback and revisions?
-
Do they have a process for educating you on how to use and manage the site they built?
A good Webflow Dev won't just dive in and start building without assessing the designs. They'll look for potential issues and clarify things to make sure everything matches the intended design and will work properly.
Hope this helps.

Hi all,
I'm part of a small digital marketing agency (3 of us, and I'm the website guy). I've been building WordPress sites for the last 2 years, but I've been looking at WebFlow more and more. Only thing that's kept me away is the pricing.
For the freelancers/agencies out there - how do you charge for sites for clients? We have South African clients, so pricing is higher compared to basic hosting.
Here's what I'm thinking:
Get the monthly freelancer package at $24pm (would only get the yearly package once we get more WebFlow clients
Charge clients a monthly web development fee instead of a once-off amount (e.g. we charge about $500 per site on average, so maybe like $45pm over 12 months)
My only issue is how to keep people paying? If we ask them to continue paying - then they never really own the site. So if they stop paying, they don't get the site. How do we get around this?
