Best Website Builder List: Comparison Sheet
Since you're using a Google Sheet, it seems like adding Google Sites to your comparison list would make sense. It is great for beginners. Whatever a beginner learns there is directly transferrable to more complex sites when they are ready to move up. Though many Google Sites are fine as they are. I have three Google Sites, two for communities, and one for a quilters club. One of the serious advantages of Google Sites is that it is easy to train the customers to take over their own website. For customers who don't want to be dependent on an outside company, that is a real plus. I have added some private login pages using the third party Authpro.com. That and the domain name are the only expenses for a long term website :). It's worth noting that Google Sites can embed the free Google Forms, as well as images directly or from Google Albums, and can embed Google Docs and Google Sheets, as well as Google calendars. This is a very well supported platform. More on reddit.com

Us⁤ed alp⁤ha.page to ho⁤st 5 of my websites. Took ~5-10 min for v1 & $9 per month. Ca⁤rrd is also good and easy to use. I've done many projects and had to build a lot of websites over the past few years, but haven't found a tool easier than alp⁤ha specifically bc it lets you drop a url of the website you like and it'll just copy the style. I came across this tool from another subreddit and I highly reco⁤mmend. Also has a built in form that I can just prompt which i use to ca⁤pture le⁤ads. More on reddit.com

How much does a website builder plan cost?
On average, the most popular plans are between $12-$25 per month, if you purchase the annual plan. Paying for a year upfront will save you money overall, but will require a higher payment initially. What is a website builder?
website builder, also known as website creator or website maker, is a special kind of content management system (CMS). While traditional content management systems were designed to administer large websites, website builders were designed with smaller website projects in mind. This means the user doesn’t require any special programming skills or other technical knowledge, such as knowing how to install a CMS, apply a template or create a database.

16 Best Website Builders in 2025 – Discover Your Ideal Platform
What Is a Website Builder?

A website builder is a service that lets you create a website, typically using software featuring a simple, drag-and-drop interface for positioning text, images, and videos. But why would you need one? On a personal level, you wouldn't want to send prospective employers to your Facebook page, so a website makes more sense as an online, customized resume. On a business level, you can quickly spin up a site to focus on sales. Another reason worth considering, for both personal and business purposes, is that building your own site means endless design choices. You have total control over the products and services you sell (and how they're delivered, too).

Furthermore, having a dedicated, real site makes a business appear more authoritative and trustworthy than a Facebook presence can on its own (though you should also consider those services as part of your online presence). It's as much an opening ante in the business world as having a business card for your company.

r/webdev on Reddit: Which website builder gives the best value for its monthly price?
July 28, 2025 -

Most of the big names like Webflow and Squarespace are kind of pricey.

Are there any no-code builders that have affordable monthly plans but still look professional?

I’ve seen Hostinger, Durable, and Weebly.

They all seem to look good but I haven’t personally tried any of them.

I just need a homepage, about page, and contact form if I ever pick one.

Which one do you use and why? Help me out. Thanks!

There are two premium plans available: “Premium Website Builder” and “Business Website Builder.” You can use the website builder to create your site with any of its hosting plans. Overall, Hostinger is very affordable, with incredibly low per-month pricing. However, it’s not unfair to say that Hostinger is a little sneaky. For instance, the advertised price assumes you’ll pay upfront for a four-year contract.
