I've been using it to generate QR codes for about two years now, on December I paid for a full year of unlimited codes and have printed more than 2,000 stickers and graphics with them, but they just changed their plans and turned mine into a 5-code-limit plan which means we can no longer access the service we already paid for 🙃 But hey! They said they're sorry and offered me a 20% discount on my next purchase 🤡

I am looking for something to generate many unique QR codes with unlimited scans. Is there anything that I can use for free that can generate this? Extra points if I can put custom words inside of it or something.

Já duas vezes tentei fazer códigos QR da minha banda para colocar adesivos. Na primeira vez, baixei um programa, mas depois ele foi congelado, pois era um "teste gratuito", não era gratuito como alegavam. O segundo, usei um site que afirmava que os códigos QR gerados eram gratuitos e duravam para sempre, apenas para descobrir que minha “conta” não era gratuita. Acho que sou um tolo por não ler as letras pequenas. Eu gostaria de encontrar um programa onde eu pudesse criar alguns códigos QR que fossem gratuitos e durassem de verdade. Já fiz dois conjuntos de adesivos que custariam mais para manter nesses sites/programas do que para fazer mais. Qualquer ajuda seria boa, obrigado!!! :)

Hi. I tried three different websites and every one keeps changing my URL to use their site's short URL linker. I get the logic; less to encode means a less complex QR but I don't care. I don't want some intermediary step between scan and my site.

So can someone recommend a software tool for Windows or website that will not monkey around with the desired URL and allows for logo embedding? For the software, I don't mind if it's paid just so long as it's a one time payment not some recurring charge.

Does anyone know one that is still free and without sign up?

Is there any option to generate a QR Code that leads to a wordpress site and is completely free?

I know there are tons of free QR code generators out there, but many either expire quickly or push premium upgrades.

I recently tried ME-QR and it worked fine — permanent links, no watermark, no login required. Again, this isn't an ad — just wondering what others here are using? Interested in hearing some personal favorites that have worked well long-term.

I almost used a QR code from this site in a print ad. It seemed FREE when I created the QR code. So glad I tried scanning it before approving the final proof! It didn't scan, then I got this email. They force you to open a paid account in order to reactivate! This scam starts at https://www.qrcode-monkey.com/ so don't use it either!

UPDATE Oct 23 2025: The issue is I got a dynamic QR code which links thru a third party site, not directly to my URL. So they can hold it hostage until I pay. We need STATIC codes instead, and ChatGPT can generate static codes for free that link directly to your URL and never "expire." Lesson learned! ChatGPT will generate PNG and SVG files for print and online use. Thanks very much for all the info!

I had created my business cards and I had also added a QR code (using QR STUFF) allowing the recipients to scan and download all my contact info into their phone without typing.

The link has now expired, and i can reactivate the code by acquiring a subscription plan.

Obviously i need to understand what is cheaper between printing again the cards with a different code or buying the annual membership for the QR generator.

is there any real effective FREE QR Code generator that works?

I'm trying to generate a QR code to connect people to wi-fi. Every purportedly free generator I've tried so far pulls some sneaky trick. Either it won't let me download the code without signing up or it tries to direct me to paid services, or something else like that.

Can folks recommend some truly free sites?

I googled "QR code generator" and tried the website at the top of the list, which is "www.qr-code-generator.com". On the title it says "Create Your Free QR Codes".

They have a QR code generator on the landing page and you can generate a QR code just by writing the url of the website. When i tried "https://www.reddit.com/", everything was normal. It gave me a preview of the QR code and when i checked, it was directly connecting me to "https://www.reddit.com/" with no redirected links in the middle.

There are buttons for downloading the QR code you've created and it requires you to login to their web app. I clicked the download button and logged in with my google account. The QR Code i had created was gone and I needed to create it again. This time however I realized it didn't generate a direct link to reddit.com, but a redirected link to it.

It was still writing "https://www.reddit.com/" with a big font size on the top but at the right side of it, redirected link was written as a small and grayed out text and there was another text "Active for 13 Days" which indicates it won't be active after that.

in summary, they say "Free" on the title, which you see on google but it's not free. if you print that QR Code on something, it won't work after 13 days and there are 2 options you have:

1. reprint the materials with a proper QR Code which is not redirected and can't be taken hostage.

2. Pay the monthly bill for QR code, which is actually something you can create for free from another QR code generator app.
