When I was getting married I went to BHLDN in NYC. There’s a location in Chestnut Hill. It’s the type of place where you make an appointment and they bring you dresses to try but it was otherwise pretty chill.

A lot of posts about dress shopping are people looking to get the cheapest dress possible, but I’m fortunate enough to have more of a budget. I also know that my almost-fiancé would absolutely refuse to spend a huge amount on a dress (a relative term, I know)
So I guess I’m looking for a store that carries dresses between 1k and, I dunno, 8-10k, although I’m sure we’ll probably both fall somewhere in the middle of that large range.
Also, I know it’s New England and we should be fine, but any confirmation that the store is queer friendly is a plus.

I had a great experience at Alexandra's Boutique in Fall River - the consultant who helped me (who was FANTASTIC) was a trans woman, so I assume they're queer friendly!! My dress was $2300, I believe their starting price is $1200 and I assume they go way up from there.

I got my dress at BHLDN at Chestnut Hill. The most expensive dresses are $3500-$4000, but I find them absolutely beautiful.
