Where to Find Weekend Jobs?
Whether you only need a part-time job or you need to supplement your full-time income, there are countless weekend jobs available nearly everywhere. Most weekend jobs are part-time jobs, including retail, food service, child care, fitness, customer service, teaching, tutoring, and medical care positions.
So, long story short, my summer job’s likely about to come to an end due to scheduling knowing I start taking classes in September, and I’m looking for a decent part time job in the city. I know I could just look on Indeed and Zip Recruiter, but I want opinions on here if you’re also from Philly around my age, or at least with more experience.
-I’ll be 20 in a few weeks
-
I don’t have a degree yet but I’m currently on my journey to receive an Associates degree in Art and Design
-
I have experience as a barista at my on-campus cafe between 2023 to this year
-
I work better in environments that aren’t too loud or crowded
-
I prefer day shifts
-
I would prefer jobs that pay weekly or biweekly
-
The college I used to go to had work study set up so you’re payed at the end of every month. I never want that type of payroll ever again.
-
I would be traveling by walking, train and bus since I don’t have my license (not too much on me)
I know probably posting under a job search community makes more sense, but I want to see if I have a better chance regionally if I post under the Philly subreddit. If you have any recommendations or warnings about places to avoid applying to, I’d really appreciate it!

Eastern State Penitentiary is in your neighborhood and is hiring part time visitor services people for their summer Night Tours, generally 5ish-10ish. The job positing makes it seem more in-your-face customer service-y than it actually is. Job post. It’s not quite fully a retail vibe either, mostly just chillin at a museum and telling people where the bathrooms are.

I go to Temple and I’m currently a student worker but only make $8.50. Does anyone know of higher paying jobs remote, near temple, or in center city that aren’t restaurant work? Im an honors business major if that does anything. Also have graphic design experience.
