I'm in the market for a good Weighted blanket and saw one at IKEA (ODONVIDE), great price, not the best color though, wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with that product.

I bought one last year because I suffer from anxiety and was a good buy. I miss it when I’m on holidays and I cannot take it with me. They suggest to buy a cover to protect it. I use it without a cover.

I wanted to buy a weighted blanket for a long time and now I have some money to buy one, I choose an IKEA one but I am curious, has any of you have that type of weighted blanket? (I would like the 8kg one but I am scared of big purchases such as this one)

We got a weighted blanket at a thrift store. 15 lbs or 6.8 kg. I liked it. But becomes a logistical nightmare when I want to toss and turn in bed. Would like the same weight but smaller size personally. Idk what ikea has but make sure its machine washable etc. And get a cover so you can wash it less often.

I've owned several and 2 of the ones that are practically exactly the same, I got from FB Marketplace. One had a cover and the other didn't. We deep cleaned both of them. They're pretty decent. I suggest being careful. The protocol when I was in psych hospitals using a weighted blanket was to not sleep with them because they can be a little bit crushing and especially don't use more than 1 at a time. I'll write more later
