Idk. We had a west elm sofa— it was okay. It looked nice but we had the basketweave fabric and it started to pill after about a year. The cushions got saggy too after about the same time. I think we had it for about 3 years. We ended up replacing it with the ikea kivik— which we’re way happier with and would definitely buy again. More on reddit.com

West elm can vary— look to their contractor / commercial grade stuff if you want stuff that lasts. Crate Barrel is great. Super high quality and no slumping after many (10+ years). It’s expensive, but certainly lasts. I see it as a more stylish room /board. Can’t speak for rove. More on reddit.com

So my partner and I currently have my family's old Pottery barn couch. It's about 15 years old and still looks new (I do take very good care of my home, so I understand that is a part of it). We want to upgrade to a larger sectional and different color to match our vibe more. So for Christmas we received $1200 of Pottery Barn gift cards from our families, to use towards a new couch at either PB or West elm.
We want a bumper chaise sectional in a dark brown color, both stores have a lot of options but the thing I want most is quality. Any style recommendations, or tricks to suss out which styles have more durability/longevity? All help is appreciated!
(currently I like the "Harris" at West elm and at PB the "Cove", "Carmel", "Shasta", "Jake Modular", & "Canyon". Let me know if you hate or love any of these.) Thanks!

I have a couch from West Elm. Quality wise, I like it but my experience purchasing through WE was a nightmare. I would not recommend buying a large piece of furniture through them.

Also had a horrrrrrible west elm experience. The sofa came with no legs and it took like 6 calls and 3 months to finally get them to send them. We do love the sofa though.
