Has anyone participated in the February graduations at Disney World? I'm looking at the pages and it seems like a giant PIA to book through the Coronado block of rooms? It looks like we can book tickets and rooms, but not as a package, and I don't see any way to add dining in... It's starting to seem like it would be easier to book the vacation as a package through Disney or a travel agent at another resort and then just attend the graduation stuff, but I feel like there must be something I'm missing somewhere that makes this all easier?
I graduated with the BSBA Accounting degree in 2022 and the MS Accounting in June this year, planning on going to graduation next month. I feel mildly sad that I don’t know anyone with it being an online school, just wondering if others feel the same and if you’re excited to attend graduation too :) I’m hoping it’s the end to the chapter feeling that I’m looking for.
Has anyone gone to a WGU graduation ceremony before? Were there a lot of people? Was it worth it?
Also-- in February it's in Florida. Does anyone know how much the WGU room rate is?
When I graduate I will have worked too hard to pass up a moment to punish myself with my dislike for large uncomfortable social gatherings for a brief moment of my life to celebrate my accomplishment.
I attended one in Seattle about 3 years ago. Very large event, guest speakers, personal testimony from half a dozen graduates (all of which were motivated to go back to school by personal tragedy. Which was odd). Light refreshments served afterwards. Took the better part of 2 hours, and all in all I was impressed.
With that said I won't be attending when I graduate next year. Just send me my certificate and call it good!
