When I'm teaching, I cover the following root causes: Genetics (obviously you can't change that, but google "nutrigenomics.") Gut Triggers Hormone changes (puberty, pregnancy, perimenopause) and estrogen overload iodine low vitamin d food reactions environmental chemicals stress blood sugar issues (your not eating would fall into this category.
