This is the first time in forever I've played a modpack without Mek, and I always used to make Free Runners because of how useful they are. Is there anything out there that lets me walk up one block high steps like Free Runners do?

For anyone that lands here in the future like I did.. The answer is the key binding called "Feet Mode Switch". Mine was set to "B" but so was my backpack so I set it to "shift+B" and it works great now.

I added Mekanism to a modpack because I needed a way to produce forge energy for another mod, and while it's a very interesting mod I never made much use of it. I had no use of anything more powerful than windmills and solar panels, which is a shame because I'd love to actually build the more advanced stuff like the reactors, but there's not much point in building them if they're just going to sit idle. So if anyone knows of any engaging, practical mods that consume lots of forge energy (or things within Mekanism itself that I'm missing) I'd love to hear it.

Melanism itself can use a lot of energy. It's 5x ore setup takes a ton of power to run at max efficiency.

If you're in 1.16, besides stuff like ore quintupling, they've also added the Mekasuit, a set of armor that uses energy and makes you basically invincible as long as it's charged
