Hi Reddit! I recently got a t-shirt at a programming conference with a motto 'it's null until you ship it' printed on it.

Since I'm not that experienced in the software production field (CS studies ongoing), I can only suspect that it is a form of the uncertainty principle applied to computer science: the product does not exist until it's shipped out.

Is my thought process correct? Or is there another pun to this? Thanks!

null = something that doesn't exist, or (sometimes) undefined So, mostly, the reference is that if you haven't shipped the product, it might as well not exist in the market.

I had that happen with my backordered MHA Mei...but I believe I had got an email saying it had shipped before it showed expected to ship by: null or shortly after that. Wait a day or two, then if it still says that and you get no email about it has shipped, contact customer service to get an update on that order.

That "null" is their system side issue, ignore that. If the delivery dates are not disturbed then you'll get your book as expected.
