Realistically, there are numerous definitions of what could be a roadman but I would say the most common is guys who chill on "road" i.e outside, usually have a little man bag. Some connotations with buying/selling draws, carrying knives, listening to grime/hip-hop, saying things like fam you mad? Urban dictionary has a pretty decent thought out definition..

In the beginning when this word surfaced, it was mainly a synonym for Drug Dealer. A roadman typically wears a full matching tracksuit with their hoodie up and has a small manbag which contains roadman essentials such as weed bags, knife, trap phone etc. However now "roadman" is a quicker way to describe someone that dresses and looks like the above description.

To me, they all just seem the same. Both totally overuse the terms "bruv", "innit", and "safe g", and both seem to have unhealthy obsessions with designer clothes.

Echoing as the distant relative of the chav ,(now an endangered species hiding in their mum's basements) the roadman is a superior more aggressive creature.Wearing £400 bin bags they can be found in schools, mcdonalds and any other place they can get attention. Roadmen come with the standard gear of an - armani, nike or any other manbag all containing the two most crucial things, a trusty old shank and a spliff or two. This fine British creation ironically- does not happen to speak English very well ; if you happen to find yourself in the vicinity on one such person(s) any attempts made to to communicate with them will be responded with a very 'sharp' answer. Despite their drawbacks roadmen have managed to occupy 65% of the UK and are showing no signs of stopping- sleep tight. "My mate's a roadman he finesses dem fresh creps from clarks."
