I am having my great grandfather’s heirloom shotgun (1930s Browning Auto-5 for those curious) sent from my great uncle in IA to where I live in TN. He shipped it today via UPS to my FFL here in TN. The tracking number says it will arrive on Monday, but when I signed up for text alerts it sent me a text that says “Shipment void as of 3:30 PM”. However the tracking search on the UPS website still says its shipped with a delivery date of Monday.
Anyone have any clue whats going on? The only thing I have considered is that it might have been flagged by UPS briefly because it is a firearm (which is completely legal to ship to an FFL)

UPDATE: This solved itself. UPS has confirmed it is in transit and that the text alert system simply glitched for my tracking temporarily, but it is working correctly now. I will be leaving the post up for now so anyone else seeking help can view it.

So I bought something and decided to return it to the seller, so I got a return label from them. My tracking info looks fine and it says the package was picked up, but when I signed up for updates I got a text that said shipment void as of today. What does this mean?
Hi it’s saying shipment void but I didn’t void it and I had someone go to the hub and check and they said the package wasn’t there It’s next day air early? It’s valuable why isn’t the tracking working? Could they possibly have put a new tracking number on? I called ups also and they said it doesn’t say void on their end and to just wait it should be here tomorrow

Text scam?
I have in my UPS app my package was picked up at 6:37 PM basically the same date and time shown when I signed up for notifications.
It is Saturday and still hasn't shown anything but a Pickup Scan in my App and I do have My Choice.
I signed in to website and it shows On the Way, so I signed up for text notifications.
This is the first text I got. I never have seen the status of SHIPMENT VOID ever in my history of UPS.
So now I'm confused. Is it picked up as the app and website show, although no Origin Scan or movement and it I'd past delivery date it shows.
So what does this mean?

So I recently bought an item off amazon and I decided to check the tracking online. When I checked it said it’s supposed to arrive tomorrow and then I signed up for text notifications and when I got it, it said “PACKAGE VOID” so does that mean I will get my package or what? I didn’t understand
So I got an email last night saying my order (#48323) shipped on Tuesday. However, clicking the UPS tracking link brings up a page that says,
"Shipment information voided.
The sender has voided the UPS tracking number created for this shipment. UPS does not have possession of this shipment."
I emailed support this morning but haven't heard back yet. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this?
UPDATE: Got a reply back from support:
"Sorry for the confusion. You will get an email with the proper tracking number tomorrow."

I have the same problem now too. Here's how to get your new tracking number:

Create a My UPS account if you do not already have one (it's free).

Log In to your account.

Check your tracking number. Look under Additional Information and you should see Reference Number(s):. Copy the longest number. You'll only see this if you're logged into your My UPS account.

Go to Tracking and click on Track by Reference.

Leave the Shipment Type on "Package". Paste the long reference number you copied into Shipping Reference. Select your country and click Track.
You should see your old tracking number that has been voided along with the new valid one.
I got the same from my tracking number. Does that mean it wasn't even sent for shipping? Oculus VR should pay for faster shipping.
Looks like yet another logistics mistake from Oculus VR. In my organization, the person in charge of shipping and logistics would've already been fired by now... jeez I don't wish anyone wrong, but it's one thing to buy SDK's and understanding the complexities of manufacturing, but it's a whole different ball game having a well executed and fail proof distribution and make this many mistakes.
Some relatives are visiting early next week and it seems they won't be able to see what I've been working on and what VR is all about.
I have created a shipment a week ago, and now I want to void the shipment, but I can't why?
I have only printed the label, still not collected.
It says:
Shipment Cancel Failed
This shipment cannot be voided. It may be completed or may be in transit.
I was using a preprinted return label to send in an envelope with documents and the associate scanned it in at the store. It is in our outbound package (separate tracking number) going the correct way, but it is currently still listed as "Dropped off at UPS Store by Customer."
Ideally - this label would have just been put in the envelope and still just listed as "label created" with no additional updates having never been scanned.
I called the store and they ensured they voided it, so it could still be used by my recipient, but I'm wondering if anyone knows
A) If I should be seeing something different in tracking
B) If my recipient can still use this return label after it says dropped off at UPS store
Just want to ensure as I need to make alternative plans if this label is no longer good for use - thanks!
We were trying to cancel a shipment after it was picked up and have it delivered back to us.
Usually we select the change delivery option and one of the options is return to sender.
However, my shipping person voided the label instead! (Usually this option is no longer available after package is picked up)
There has been multiple scans and now it shows that this information is not available when I click on tracking number or click change delivery!
How do I proceed? Thank you in advance!
So I was so excited to receive the email that my Rift had shipped. I kept checking UPS to see when the tracking number would be updated to reveal the estimated delivery date, and then I receive the "shipment information voided" message.

Pretty frustrating since this is part of the order that was delayed in customs that I thought would have already been here 3 weeks ago, due to the order status changing to "processing" at the end of May.
But it's cool, I'm patient, even as a serious gamer with the most revolutionary gaming device of the 21st century, if not ever, repeatedly teasing its arrival.
Basically I just would like to know if anyone else has had a similar problem and if so what how they resolved it?
I already emailed OculusVR and am waiting to hear back. In the mean time, I'm seeking any relative info to ease my worries.
I created a multipackage shipment and now the customer wants to void one of them. But when I try to void it, it voids all of them.
I created a shipment and then realized some details were wrong, so I voided the shipment after the first pickup attempt. They didnt pickup the package but before they could update that I voided my shipment. Will I get refund? When will I get refund?

Hey I received email that said I have an incoming package but when I setup the phone notification, it said that "SHIPMENT VOID as of date" but the website said "Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time. Please check back later." Here is the tracking number: 1ZA832X34259699279
