You'll get two different answers based on two different schools of thought on this issue. The first is the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" principle, so never update unless you're already having issues, in which case an update could fix the issue. The second is the "better safe than sorry" principle, so always update as soon as updates are available, to prevent any possible issues from arising.
