I've found that FurMark CPU Burner puts somewhat of a higher load on my CPU (R7 7800X3D) when compared to Aida64. CPU Burner gets me to a max temp of 88c, whereas Aida64 tops out at 77c. Haven't tried any other stress tests for the time being but I find it's a good way to test your thermal solution Answer from Jacob247891 on reddit.com

r/buildapc on Reddit: Is FurMark CPU Burner a decent stress test?
March 24, 2022 -
I’ve recently performed some CPU/GPU stress tests on my system. I used FurMark for both & ran them at the same time.
The CPU (5600x), whilst OC’d to 4.6GHz, was only doing 4.2GHz & drawing 46.7W during the test, at 30 minutes & 60 minutes. This is despite CPU utilisation being 100%.
I’d just assumed FurMark would push the CPU to it’s limits (as it does with GPUs), but it seems not?
The 5600x is meant to draw 65W at most right, so FurMark isn’t really pushing it, but the 100% is confusing me.
Can someone explain what’s going on?

[SOLVED] - How long should I use Furmark's CPU Burner? | Tom's Hardware Forum
May 19, 2020 - It's great (small fft with AVX technologies disabled) for temps as it supplies a constant 100% load on the cpu. Many others do not, they'll include AVX or linpack and end up with a variable load that'll bounce between @ 80%and 130% loads, which doesn't give a realistic idea of where max gaming will put you. Asus RealBench is far better suited to stability as it uses a mix of fluctuating loads and different combinations to try and trip up the pc.

Very high temps with 9800X3D + FurMark CPU Burner
The obsession with full throttling brand new cpus/gpus is beyond me. Every other day someone posts "I've been synthetically benchmarking my hardware far beyond anything I'll ever do and I noticed the temps are high, what's going on guys?". Just use your pc for whatever it is you're doing (gaming). If you see abnormal temps beyond reason then investigate. This is why I don't trust open box returns. More on reddit.com

If you're using furmark CPU torture tests (thats exactly what it is), its designed to push the CPU to its limit and will raise heat levels as far as it can (unless thermal throttling suggests otherwise). Hence why its called a "burner test".

Furmark CPU Burner | [H]ard|Forum
July 5, 2016 - (package)Temp will be 78-85 during stress tests like AIDA , Linpack, Intel Burn Test, Intel XTU burn test - but if i run the furmark CPU Burner, it can go till 93 degrees unless i have fans on 100% from the very start. Does anyone use this test as a good measure of heat? Just wondering wtf does it do to make it that hot in a very short time too. Its 1.31 or 1.3v btw and don't bash the h60, it is better than any top end air cooler for my case since i can't fit anything there.
