I feel like I haven't gotten a straight answer from GoDaddy on this.
I received an email that says my email accounts will be suspended unless I pay them for "Microsoft 365 Email Essentials Basic".
I did the "GoDaddy Workplace changeover" thing about 3 months ago, with no problems.
I know "GoDaddy is evil" and will most likely be going to another vendor if this MS 365 thing is true.

Hi Jeff,
I’d like to first clarify the difference between three subscriptions you mentioned.
- Over all Office 365 business subscriptions, we don’t have Office 365 Email Essentialsvia our channel. It looks like this is a subscription from GoDaddy. Based on my research, it may include Exchange Online service. For details of this subscription, I suggest you find GoDaddy support.
- For Office 365 Business Essentials, we have this subscription and the subscription includes Office Online, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online and Skype for Business Online service. For more details, you can find it via products.office.com/.../office-365-business-essentials.
- For Office 365 Small Business, we do have this subscription and is renamed as Office 365 Business Essentials with additions and improvements via our official channel. In SharePoint aspect, Office 365 Small Business does not have SharePoint Admin Center, which is used to centrally manage SharePoint Online, compared with Office 365 Business Essential.
For “missing site deletion icons/abilities” issue, if you are looking for deleting subsite created by your own, you can delete it via navigate to the site > the gear icon > site settings > delete this site. If you are looking for deleting the three default site collection created by the system, it is not feasible to do that within Office 365 Small Business subscription.
For “service settings pages” and other issues, we need more detailed information about what service or settings you want for managing your SharePoint Online. You may capture a screenshot to help us understanding your requirement. You can upload screenshots by clicking Use rich formatting > the first Insert/Edit Media icon.
As you encounter some issues managing SharePoint Online sites, I recommend you referring to the articles below for help:

I have a domain at godaddy ( samplename.ca)
godaddy is asking me to pay for Microsoft 365 Email Essentials Basic ($42 / year)
for my email ([email protected])
i already been uusing google workspace ($15/month) for 10 years
for same email ([email protected])
do you know if i dont renew the godaddy microsoft, will the whole email disappear, like google workspace wont work anymore?
i still have the domain .
Thanks
Helping a client perform a Godaddy Office 365 Essentials email to Office 365. She had already set up the new office 365 account, but didn’t use the same domain at the beginning of the email. Example- The godaddy email is mycompany.com. New Office account is notmycompany.onmicrosoft.com. Will I still be able to change the user to the new email address in Microsoft after the migration and have the email still be there?
Also when using the Exchange Admin migration tool, I am getting the error ImapAuthenticationException: The username or password for the account is incorrect or IMAP access is disabled. Imap server sent NO response to Authenticate. Response code "message Authenticate faled, Provided authentication mechanism is not supported.
I’m using an IMAP migration, the mailbox being exported is an administrator, and the login info is correct. Any ideas?
I would recommend looking at Defederating the Tenant because it would help on the migration.
