The 11 best SEO tools in 2025 | Zapier
November 15, 2024 - All-in-one tools: Similar to rank trackers, all-in-one SEO tools have many features, but their range of tools is more comprehensive. I was able to dig into a number of tools myself, but I wasn't able to personally test each of them. When I couldn't, I looked to firsthand accounts from real users, software demos, aggregated reviews, and Reddit forums to fill in the blanks.

1 month ago - SEO Gets is my favorite tool for analyzing Google Search Console data. I can see everything I need to know about ALL of my sites right away. It helps me instantly see which pages are growing, and which ones are losing traffic. This makes prioritizing updates and new content production so much easier. Topic clusters show me how well my keyword-based content categories are performing. Not just particular keywords. For example, if I focus on SEO, YouTube, or backlinks, I can easily check their clicks and impressions.

March 24, 2025 - It does a good job of breaking down the SEO tools history timeframe into organized blocks of time, referencing many key SEO software vendors along the way. It also picks up on the SEOmoz rebranding to just Moz. (But not the SEMrush to Semrush transition.) It also covers the emergence of mobile SEO as a main thrust as well as more modern sub-topics like core web vitals, user experience, etc. Like the Bard example, ChatGPT’s text output doesn’t include a lot about how SEO tools incorporate AI capabilities, including using AI writers for building SEO-focused content.

some of these have already been said, some not, but here's what's in my tool belt (no specific order). SEMRush.com - use it for site auditing (let's me see things the eye misses), ranking monitoring, backlinks, etc. Ahrefs.com - there are a lot of functions in this tool, but I've found it to be best for links specifically. Moz.com - I primarily use the link tool here, as well as their NAP checker for local businesses (Name, Address, Phone). Google Search Console - this is of course my favorite tool. I can see a lot of performance based metrics, as well as see enhancements, speed issues, crawling issues, sitemaps, AMP, etc. Google Tag Manager - a lot of people don't leverage this well. GTM has allows me to scale substantially with certain tasks, like dynamic structured data based on page type (really helpful for blogs), event tracking (granular), title tag, meta description, content injection (for those sites you either can't access or are a pain to get anything to stick). BrightEdge - primarily their Data Cube and they just rolled out a new version that is way better IMO. Side note, I spoke with a rep there last week and he mentioned their software is ready to rock for AI Overview tracking once it's fully rolled out (IDK if that's true, but that's what he said). Screaming Frog - really good crawling tool. free version only let's you crawl 500 URLs, but I think it's about $200 a year or something for paid. Sitebulb is another good one. AWRCloud - Ranking tracking by keyword phrase. Google Looker Studio (historically datastudio) - super nice to compile reports. I am sure I missed some and will update if I think of any others.

1 week ago - As AI search becomes more important, tracking your performance in these platforms is becoming just as crucial as traditional SEO. Since this is a free tool, I'm not including pros/cons or ratings sections. ... Google Trends is another free tool from Google that helps you track how keywords are trending across Google search. I use this tool a lot to track how keywords are doing when I use Google Autocomplete. I also use this tool when I find two very similar keywords (for example, using Google Keyword Planner) and I want to see which keyword to prioritize.

Google Trends shows you how frequently a given search term is entered in Google’s search bar relative to the platform’s entire search volume. For example, you can use it to analyse the monthly searches of a particular keyword you were thinking of using in your content.
