Understanding Kelvin Color Temperature & LED Light Colors - LED Light Expert
August 23, 2016 - In this chart we see the light is about 4100 kelvin and 93 CRI, The R9 drops to 75, which is actually excellent because this is a grow light. Grow lights require a full spectrum, known as PAR for best results.

Full Spectrum 3000 Kelvin vs 5000 Kelvin - GrowWeedEasy.com
Don't mean to be a twit, but I keep seeing LED lights that give off 3000 Kelvin light described as "full spectrum". My understanding from other disciplines that I work with is that 5000 Kelvin is considered full spectrum, as it more closely mimics real sun light. More on forum.growweedeasy.com

What exactly is a full spectrum LED?
"White" lights are full spectrum lights by definition because white light contains all colors of the visible light spectrum in some sort of ratio. A beam of light from a white LED should split into a rainbow pattern when passing through a prism, where as the red or blue light from the colored diodes in many "grow lights" will not break down into other colors through a prism. The difference between the different color temperatures in white LEDs describes the ratio of blue vs red wavelengths in the light. Lower temperatures like 3000k - 3500k have a higher ratio, or saturation of red vs blue wavelengths, and higher temperatures like 5000K - 6500K have a higher saturation of blue vs red light compared to the lower k values. A range of warmth in lighting measured in kelvins.
The Kelvin scale is a temperature scale in which its zero point is absolute zero (-273.16o C), the temperature at which all thermal motion stops. So what does a temperature scale have to do with colors? Well, a black body radiator emits a color that varies with its temperature. A black body whose temperature is below 4000 K appears more reddish in color, while one whose temperature is above 7000 K appear more bluish. For reference, 4000 K is 3727o C (6740o F) - that's pretty fucking hot. This color temperature scale in OP's post is called the correlated color temperature (CCT) and is used in photography and image projection. It has also become useful when defining the color emitted by light bulbs. More on reddit.com

What is a light spectrum?
A light spectrum is the visible range of wavelengths that make up white light, ranging from about 380 nanometers (violet) to 700 nanometers (red). LED light spectrum varies by the phosphors and diodes used. The spectrum determines both the Kelvin color temperature and how well colors render under that light.

What is a full spectrum grow light?
It is a term used to imply that a grow light closely resembles sunlight. The light source has a spectrum with energy in the range of ultraviolet to infrared, similar to the natural daylight. Its appearance is usually white but not every light that emits white light is full spectrum grow light. The wavelengths in this band include the 4000nm-720nm range- visible light, and the invisible wavelengths such as ultraviolet and infrared.

How does LED spectrum affect light color?
LED spectrum directly determines the perceived color temperature. LEDs with strong output in the red region appear warmer (lower Kelvin). LEDs with more blue output appear cooler (higher Kelvin). The spectrum also affects CRI and R9 — a well-balanced spectrum across all wavelengths produces better color rendering.
