I work a target distribution center as a Warehouse Associate, and have worked there for almost a year (it'll be a year in March). I see people on here getting hired and immediately making $24 an hour. I make $18 an hour and I really need the money. I'm a hard worker, I don't miss any days of work, I am praised by my managers and co workers. Should I apply to become a Warehouse Worker? Or a higher position? Or do I discuss my pay with someone? I'm not sure how to go about this.

If you’re in the DC and hired as a “warehouse associate” where you don’t drive powered equipment your hourly rate is lower. If your seasonal do your best to transition to full time, if you’re already full time transfer departments to one that requires you to drive powered equipment.

as much as i love the new minimum wage at my target, i hate the fact that my raise i got this year is pointless as i’ll be making the same as a new hire, & i don’t think it’s fair that people who’ve been working here for years are getting the same as me. LOL

I know how it feels in the moment but you have to understand you're always making minimum wage at Target. Those "raises" they do every year are always going to be below average inflation and always below what they eventually need to re-raise their minimum to in order to recruit new workers to replace their employee churn rate. They will never willingly pay you above minimum they think you deserve. They will never pay you what your worth. Even if you become a TL, ETL, whatever.
