Were you using the same password for all of these accounts? This is the most likely cause of multiple account breaches. If not, download Malwarebytes and run a full system scan to identify and remove malware. You could always factory reset your PC, but that is pretty intrusive and should be used as a last resort. Hey guys,
I just want to share what I've been dealing with for almost a week now..
first of all of, I am not working in CS, I am just an ex engineer and now I do trading full time.
all my social media accounts have been hacked one day after the other, starting with my Gmail,
I've found a critical security alert that someone might have accessed it, but no IP was captured from google.
I then took the security measures and enhanced my security to that account..
then the next day I got an OTP number for instagram, as someone was trying to access my instagram and was verifying with the OTP, in the same minute, I found my instagram email changed. I managed to recover the account though.. and looked in the activity, found that my account was used to like and follow hundreds of random instagram posts from random people ( I suppose those people who pay for likes and follows ) in just 2 mins.
again, after recovering my instagram, my facebook was next, but Facebook locked him out one way or another..
I reinstalled a new windows, and updated my android..
then the next day, I found my Linkedin accounts ( I have 2 because I was looking for a job in trading) hacked and content changed completely.
while recovering the accounts the OTP verifications sent to my phone were faked !
like I got OTP verification written in a way that you can easily say this is not sent from Email provider or Linkedin.
anyway I recovered the accounts, secured them better..
And the I had an idea to check the sign in activity of my microsoft account, because this is the windows account, and found out there are incredible number of login attempts from a devices located in different countries..
Again, I secured the account sign out of all sessions, took my login to my apple device, and made my windows account a local account.
then I got my Spotify account, other unused old accounts hacked..
I don't really know how exactly can all this be happening.
all my logins were different emails and passwords..
so I'd like to hear from you guys what can be causing this.. I'd appreciate your help !

Hello. I had this exact problem this week. Start account recovery for all your emails and social media accounts. Change all passwords (including those you changed recently) using an open source password manager. Enable 2FA through a FOSS authenticator app everywhere. Don't use Authy because it was recently breached and don't use SMS 2FA to avoid SIM swap problems. Delete all browsing data from all browsers in your smartphone, tablet and PC from 'all time range' Dial *#67# to check if auto call forwarding has been enabled. Dial ##002# from your phone dialer to cancel all call forwarding. Use aliases instead of your primary email preferably for all social media accounts. Backup codes which are generated when you enable 2FA should be saved. Save all passwords, 2FA tokens and backup codes using the 3-2-1 rule. As a widely embraced data backup strategy, the 3-2-1 rule prescribes: Maintain three copies of your data: This includes the original data and at least two copies. Use two different types of media for storage: Store your data on two distinct forms of media to enhance redundancy. Keep at least one copy off-site: To ensure data safety, have one backup copy stored in an off-site location, separate from your primary data and on-site backups. This rule is a robust guideline for data protection, ensuring redundancy, resilience, and the ability to recover data even in the face of unexpected events or disasters. Btw, don’t pay any money if they threaten you.

All my social media platforms are being hacked and not just social media. Even my Netflix and spotify acc. I assumed they got in from Gmail but I am trying everything to keep them away. Getting a VPN or firewall AFTER you got breached isnt really doing much. You need to purge your accounts first, so to speak. Aight, in order or importance. Keep in mind, this is the full brute force "I do not know what is compromised, I just need it gone" solution. Reinstall windows, from ground up. Do not sync to your old microsoft account if you have one, if you need one register under a new e-mail thats not connected in any way to any of your old, compromised e-mails. After backing up photos/videos, factory reset your tablet, factory reset phone. On the fresh windows install: download a broswer, I would suggest firefox, and for firefox sync again register a brand new gmail, something like "yourusername.firefox@gmail.com ". Its just needs to be an e-mail thats definietly not been used by you (and therefore vulnerable) before. Its gonna sync your new passwords here. Log in to your old, compromised g-mail accounts, on the right side press manage account, security, and check the followings: - is 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) on? If not turn it on, set it to SMS (hence the wiping of phone/tablet). - If you scroll down, you should see something titled "Your devices", at this point this should only contain one session, your fresh windows session. If you see another windows device, any other desktop or any other phone or unknown device, log them off. - Check if your g-mail has any other g-mail accounts linked to it as "recovery e-mail", if you do not recognize the e-mail adress remove it. - Go back to your gmail inbox, click the cogwheel icon on the top right, click on "see all settings", what you wanna check is if there is anything set up under "accounts and import", "Filters", or "Forwarding", or "Add-ons". These by default dont have anything set up, if you see anything here that you did not personally set up, you need to remove it. This is how they look on default. Google stores these settings online, so windows reinstall etc. does not get rid of them if they managed to put something in here. Repeat these step and change password on every single e-mail account you had, and make sure you log out any unknown devices. After that... same tango for every single social media site, twitch, twitter, reddit, instagram, facebook, anything you can think of, every single game launcher like steam, league, epic games, stuff like discord, epic games launcher, league accounts, Netflix, amazon... Log in, change password, enable 2FA if they have it and make sure its using SMS to your phone number, if they have a setting called "log me out on all devices" press it. If you had your credit card saved/on file in any of the stores, sites, netflix, or in your browser that was syncing to a gmail account that was compromised, I would recommend contacting your bank and asking for a new card. Yes, it might be overkill. Yes, its a bit of a hassle. Lot less of a hassle than proving fraudulent charges and dealing with chargebacks, etc. Thats my best advice. Worked for me when I got (what I assume) a token session hijacked, and my instagram/discord/steam account got fucked with for about 2-3 days. Is it overkill? Maybe, but I was in a position where I would take overkill over "goddamnit, I reinstalled windows and this shit is happening again". Best of luck, hope it helps.
