Lately, Ive noticed my feed is complete garbage. Its just all clips from movies, past music Ive listened, clips from shows, comedy bits etc. All just media entertainment stuff. Nothing interesting or of substances. Just a complete repeat of my casual watching of certain videos. Its so boring.
Wondering whats on your guys feed, and what you use YT for? Maybe I can discover new things and make my usage more insightful or of substance.
Videos
I feel like my YouTube recommendations have gotten too repetitive, just showing me more of the same. So, I’m curious—what do you usually watch?
What kind of content do you enjoy, and what does YouTube recommend to you? I want to break out of my usual bubble and discover something new. Whether it’s educational channels, gaming, documentaries, or just random fun videos.
Usually i like to play things in the background that are like a video podcast discussions of specific topics (business, movies, gaming..). I try to find videos of people playing full gameplays but WITH commentary, and that seems to be not easy to find. Also I of course love the documentaries.
Let’s share and refresh our algorithms a bit.
Just curious what others YouTube feeds are like. Mine changes over time (as I'm sure it does to most), but currently the main things I watch are:
Speedrunning (videogames) glitches, techniques, arbitrary code execution (ACE), and sometimes how cheaters got caught.
Horror games playthroughs, mostly Insym and Gab Smolders.
Five Nights At Freddy's videos, mostly challenges (i.e beat one of the games without using the lights, or cameras), and I'm also watching Markipliers playthrough of the series.
Super Mario Maker 2 gameplay, mostly Ryukahr doing super expert runs.
Minecraft videos of different types, typically some sort of challenge.
The occasional disaster breakdown, true crime story, and internet mystery.
Do we have anything in common or are we on completely different sides of YouTube? Maybe I'll find something you watch interesting. I could need some more variety.
