How long do I have to renew an expired domain?
Can I recover a domain after it's deleted?
Why did my auto-renewal fail?
Heya!
Do you all have a github tool or a site that you all use to track all the domains of your customers and when they expire? Obviously we want to be ahead of this and I think 80% of our customers manage it fine themselves. We're in the business of taking care of them though and those 20% that are all "what is a domain expiration" we need to make sure we keep an eye on.
The idea in my head is that we would enter a domain in the tool and it'll lookup the domain expiration based off of the whois information. As domains get closer to expiration we can check a dashboard or have automatic emails go out if said domain is getting too close to expiring.
Do you all know of anything like this? Simple, slim, open source, self hosted maybe? If there is a reasonable cost I'm open to that too but we like OSS a lot :D
Thanks!
Hello everyone,
I am quite new to the whole topic of email security and today I came across whatsmydns.net and searched for my domain. Since then I realized that some DNS records are open to the public (e.g. verification and SPF) and others maybe are, too (at least not on this website, couldn't get information about my dmarc entry)
Now I am wondering:
Is my dmarc entry also somehow somewhere exposed to the public? Asking because of email addresses found in it for the purpose of sending reports.
Regarding the DNS entries for verification, SPF, and DMIK: Aren't these sensitive information which a possible bad guy could use in order to send emails in the name of my domain?
Thanks in advance!
