This nice weather is getting me wanting to start the yard work
I want to beat the rush this year, and get what I really need, which is just a couple of vines, maybe some herbs.
When do nurseries start stocking? After the last freeze I imagine, but what are we thinking, mid-February?
I know we are in the season or close to it, was just curious if anyone intentionally follows what months they usually open and what places they go. Just tryna get ahead of my mom's balcony garden this year. We did it very haphazardly last year and had a little bit of harvest, mainly cause we didn't know how to maximize what we had. We bought at Metro and Sunny Food Mart, sometimes by Walmart. Anywhere else that sells similar or even better seedlings, more interesting fruits/veggies/herbs/flowers? Thanks in advance.
Looking to buy some nice hanging planters. Anyone have any suggestions for places to go? Are Canadian Tire and other places with seasonal garden centres open yet? Thanks!
Why isn't this a thing? I end up buying plants at the supermarket just because it's open after I finish work. I know they aren't as good but if I'm busy at the weekend it's my only way to get things easily.
I'm pottering in the garden most evenings if the weather is decent - plenty of light and most things like to be planted out in the evening as far as I know. If my local garden centre stayed open until 6:30pm on say every other Thursday in May-July I would end up with a worrying number of plants. I can't be the only one?
