Is there any way to see how long a sale will last?
A quick tip for Kohl's shoppers + a sale
The end of the extra 25% clearance sale (Gold Star) is October 26th.
Also just a word of precaution, your situation isn't usual. It may be because you've done an online purchase. But usually the return amount lowers by the amount of Kohl's cash you've spent. So if you spent $20 of Kohl's cash and then make a return from the same purchase you earned that $20, your return will lower by $20.
This is because many people would by loads of stuff solely to earn Kohl's cash, use that Kohl's cash once it's valid, and then return everything from the previous purchase which they earned the Kohl's cash. Ex. Buying $300 of merchandise, earning $60 in Kohl's cash. Using that Kohl's cash the next week, and then later returning the $300 of merchandise you bought in the first place. You just used $60 of free money. Because people like that have been cheating the system, the system changed and everyone has to suffer.
That's usually what happens. Random cases I've seen where there hasn't been an issue, but it's the exception to the rule here.

Title, basically. I'm going to order a set of dishes, and I'm trying to figure out if it would be cheaper to buy now, when they're definitely still on sale, or wait til the 25th for our 40% off, and I was wondering if there was any way to know if the sale would still be going on at that point.
I went into Kohl's the other day to return some items I had purchased online. As I'm waiting, the woman in front of me at the desk is being told that she has to forfeit her kohl's cash because after the return, her total spent amount would be less than $50. Upon hearing this I quickly jumped out of line and went to make the purchase I had planned utilizing my Kohl's cash. I then went to return my original online purchase and had no troubles or mentioning of kohl's cash.
So use your Kohl's cash before making any returns otherwise you forfeit your discount. They can't do anything after you've spent it, and you've saved yourself $10+ dollars.
Also, going on now is an extra 25% off clearance. Limited time. No end date specified. In stores and online.

I worked at Kohls service desk and this tip is not exactly accurate. If you use the Kohls cash you earned on a purchase, then return those items that pushed your purchase amount to $50 (the amount needed to earn Kohls cash) they will deduct the Kohls cash value from your refund. The only way around it is to do a return without receipt, which usually gets you back less money anyway. Feel free to ask me anything about their policies.
