Major US holidays to look out for shopping?
Any federal holiday is marketed as a sales/shopping opportunity, particularly for cars, mattresses, and furniture (don’t ask me why, I have no idea). Here’s another fun factoid: the “sales” are not limited to the actual day/weekend itself. You’ll regularly see advertisements for the “Massive 4th of July savings event” going on from July 1st through the end of the month. Edit: this is probably not what you were looking for. Cyber Monday (the Monday after Black Friday) is a big one. More on reddit.com
Is 11.11 really that big sale? What are you planning to buy this 11.11?
Everyone is talking about outright price slash and discounts and how some items have prices jacked up. That's not the point of 11.11. It's the coupons that you can use during the sale. Coupons + 3 off every 30 dollars or so it all stacks up. There are no bigger and better coupons than on 11.11. In my opinion, yes it is the biggest sale of the year and worth waiting for if you want to make a big purchase. More on reddit.com
Best and Worst Times of Year to Shop
It depends - e.g. if your wardrobe gap is sweaters, Spring is a bad time to shop! Start of season has better size selection, but end of season has more deals. The best time to shop imo is "constantly", I just browse store websites to see all the new stuff and order something if I love it, or wait for it to go on sale. A lot of items are available year-round. I find certain fabrics are more season-specific (wool vs. linen). Good luck with your shopping :) More on reddit.com
When do the best sales happen throughout the year?
Honestly nowadays none, they all feel shit. Your best bet is to double check things on sites like pricespy and double check dips for patterns. More on reddit.com
